Annoyingly I have thought about this at length, ok not for atheism but for other stuff.

With that soloution the retrovirus cannot propogate itself without destroying the "cleaned" cell. Hence you need a retrovirus per cell, and they need to be on target. Of course modifying zygotes is easy enough. :D

You can ensure all future generations have the athesit gene, and are immune to addiction, and have the regenerative abilities of the mexican salamander, and so on.
