The church describes itself as a descendant of the original Klan, and Haroules said members want to be masked "to reinforce and to convey dramatically its message of white separatism and white pride."

Yeah, I'm sure the mask has nothing to do with hiding their identities so they don't have to be held responsible for their fucking bigotry.

Basically you can have free speech - but not anonymous speech. If you spew BS (from the "white power" crap to whatever a twisted mind might have to offer), your neighbours can figure for themselves whether they want to associate with you. No government action, just that of individual people.

But the problem is that this line of reasoning can apply to the internet.

Yeah, I agree with the Court's ruling on this one, I'm just angry that they are trying to claim their reasoning for the masks is some dramatic symbolism, and not the real reason, which is to hide their identities.
