The best and Worst Star Trek TV Composers

Post by THEHOOLIGANJEDI »

For best I would give it to Ron Jones. I liked his adaptations to Goldsmith's TMP scores and his Original stuff.

Worst would go to Dennis McCarthy. I hated his overuse and dependance on the TOS fanfare.

What do you think??

I have to agree with that.

McCarthy's music also seemed really... sluggish, especially in the last couple of seasons.

Whoever did the BOBW episode music did quite well. I also rather liked some of the DS9 battle music and the DS9 theme.
"If the facts are on your side, pound on the facts. If the law is on your side, pound on the law. If neither is on your side, pound on the table."

"The captain claimed our people violated a 4,000 year old treaty forbidding us to develop hyperspace technology. Extermination of our planet was the consequence. The subject did not survive interrogation."

I think the theme from Scorpion was done well. But then again, I haven't watched that many ST episodes.
