Good stuff. Taoism (as I understand it) is the only religion that`s ever made a lick of sense to me. Buddhism, however..... I worked with a Vietnamese lady who was devoutly Buddhist. Not only was she a vegetarian, she wouldn`t eat onions or garlic, claiming that they were "too strong" and that the spirits wouldn`t come close if her breath smelled like them.

That's wacky Buddhism. Hehe. Buddhism has so many levels. You can go from Zen Buddhism, which is basically philosophy, to wacky Buddhism, which is really devout.

Yes it was whacky, that woman drove me insane. People bitch about backwards assed ignorant American fundies, believe me, it`s a worldwide phenomenon no matter what the religion.
