Has anyone else been following this story?

French Police at CDG have lost a block of plastic explosives that was hidden in a suitcase for use in training sniffer dogs.

As I recall at one point the LAPD found it was missing over 400 blocks of C-4, half pound each I think, plus several hundred detonators. Anyway, with no detonator, the missing block isn't exactly dangerous unless it falls into the hands of someone how already has or can obtain them. And that person could probably get explosives anyway.

...why would the LAPD have that much high-explosive???
If Religion and Politics were characters on a soap opera, Religion would be the one that goes insane with jealousy over Politics' intimate relationship with Reality, and secretly murder Politics in the night, skin the corpse, and run around its apartment wearing the skin like a cape shouting "My votes now! It was probably stockpiled for SWAT training and operational use. Most US SWAT teams have pretty large explosive catches because they can be called upon to perform emergency demolition work.

I'm betting the Philadelphia police took it.

No, though they have also lost explosives as I recall. And then there was the SWAT van which was stolen in Chester while laden with automatic weapons, ammunition and some explosives and detonators.

I'm amazed Assault On Precinct 13 hasn't happened yet somewhere.

Jeeze, it so obvious, if you know which bag it's in, it isn't really much of a test now is it? And besides, the person will probably take it how and give it to his kids to play with.

I thought MOVE had been destroyed 20 years ago?

MOVE is still around, but all they seem to do these days is gather up for protests on the anniversary of the bombing, rather then building bunkers out of stolen tree limbs.

Gosh, I didn't know that the French had a hive mind, and everyone will automatically know which bag it is if 1 guy keeps a record.
