And this one 80's show that I forget the name of, that had spies hiding as cover models. It's the one that the guy shot himself on set playing with a gun loaded with blanks. Themesong was "I need a Hero"

That piece was a successful blend of the ST:FC and TOS/TNG themes. I still can't fathom why they went from one crappy pop song to another.

NYPD Blue's theme is an example of a theme song that is perfectly suited to the show. The guy who wrote it knew exactly how to capture New York City in music, with the subway clicking and clacking in the background.

MNF has sucked more and more since Cosell left the show in 1983. If you didn't see a game he called, you've never seen Monday Night Football.

Ok, it's a movie, but I love the theme to The Godfather.

Misfits of Science had a funky 80s rock tune that used to be stuck in my head for quite a while. For some reason I've forgotten all but the closing parts of the music now.

For a heroic, orchestral theme, the Voyagers! music is still playing in my head after all these years.
