I was going to make some long winded post about just how difficult it would NOT be for a space faring civilization as old as the Empires, to enter uncharted territory and start gathering info quite effortlessly. But after reading through 7 pages, I came to the realization that the effort would be wasted on JC and his many schizophrenic (sp?) personalities/friends. Oh well.

John Clark there is no excuse for going so pyschotically far as to attempt to actually call somebody at home just because of a stupid website. It's just sci-fi, FICTION i.e. made up, nonexistant FAKE, an entertaining diversion. You are not only a disgrace to Star Trek fans, but serious sci-fi fans in general. If you want to discredit Wong, you are going about it the wrong way. Get yourself a few long titled degrees and prove him wrong through pure, hard science and back it up with these qualifications, not nitpicking.

As for the Vong having no navigation problems, they had infiltrators in the SW galaxy long before their invasion. Nom Anor is one example, as is that Yomin Carr, that guy on Ex Gal (the names are fresh in my head because I was re-reading Vector Prime a while back) is a second.

Also Clark, trying to sound ominous and intimidating isn't working nor will it ever work. Nobody takes somebody like that seriously, the only way to be taken seriously is to actually act serious instead of constructing some elaborate sinister mythology around yourself. This is not Star Trek and you are not Section 31, you are not "acting in the best interests of the Federation", quite to the contrary, this is real life and you are hurting those of us who are trying to discuss this topic in a civilized manner and damn you for doing it because there are damn few of us on this board and having fanatical little weasels like you in existence just makes the rest of us look bad.[/img]

John, the Unknown Regions may not be as big as the entire AQ, but it's stilll big (35 times that of the 1000 world Empire) It took 6 years (IIRC between ESB and Thrawn triology) and they were CONQUERING it.

And IIRC a quote from the ESB novel says something about Luke going into uncharteted territory.

My god how easy would it be to end this? This thread has gone so far off it is useless, delete it. If JC will not cooperate ban him. To JC, look morons, Mike does not respect anyone who hides behind fake identities, so if you would just give him a real e-mail/names he and you could debate every point you have to make. While i believe he would offer sufficient rebuttals for most of them, he might correct some minor errors which really are just nitpicks that do not affect the conclusions.

Oh, I don't think ASU is THAT bad. My friend went there for a campus tour, and he said that they were the 16th ranked school in the country where the students don't have to study.

Incidentally, he chose NOT to apply there.

No, that's the point: Wong simply will not admit his errors, even when they're pointed out to him as we've done.

That's why we're flaming him -- because he's an intellectual bully, a pretentious cockroach who belittles others for their mistakes while vehemently refusing to acknowledge his own errors, whether they're trivial or cataclysmic. He is, in short, a myopic fucking hypocrite, and he'll either own up to his own mistakes or continue to suffer whatever mental torment or public humiliation we choose to dispense.

The sad and terrible thing is, it's not beneath his dignity to admit he made a mistake -- yet he stubbornly refuses to acknowledge even the slightest error on his own part, even to save his Web Board.

Eventually, he'll realize that the only way for him to be rid of us, his "Michael Wong/Star Destroyer.Net Anti-Fan Club", is to terminate the Board itself. IP Cloaks, router spoofing, remailers... and since a couple of us ourselves are skip tracers, we know how to find people, and (more importantly in this instance) how not to be found.

Mike has only 3 options... either he owns up to the fact that he made a mistake, he terminates the board or he lives with us. And there are more of us every day.

Plain and simple: the guy's a bully and a bigot. He's being treated like one. Tough shit for him if he can't change his ways.
