Oh Typhonus, vaccuum doesn't have that affect on Marines. Protective secretions is one of the enhancements. They can take hard vaccuum with no ill effects for short periods of time.

Oh well thought it would look cool at least ...but how does protective secretions help when the air pressure difference is so high?

They form some kind of protective film IIRC. There's a reason NL is leary about letting us play these wanked out demigods.

I'm not sure of the mechanism of it, but it's canonically established that unhelmeted marines can survive limited exposure to vacuum. It's not something they do for fun, but they can do it.
Probably to explain how they survive despite the fact that their leaders are constantly running around unhelmeted in the art.

Not really Nathann remebers a nice toy in the other room they can use to kill these things if we can get off more than one shot from it....and YB what happens when a frag grenade is put between a marine and its back pack?

IO: Where is Mortragor headed for? Prius/Pater/Nathan, or Adivan?

Tycho: Aside from a rather nasty Sorceror running around on the floor below, the anginarium's clear. It's the hydroponics area you need to worry about.

My good General, who wrecked his pre-Heresy relic suite? Muhahahaha!
Besides, I am screwing over Prius and company quite nicely as is.

Just asking because you referred to 'Inquisitors', and I'm fairly sure there's only one of Adivan.
btw, what kind of controls (if any) would be located in the enginarium? I'd assumed it would be a kind of control centre for the power grid and such; is that accurate, or was I misled by the name?

The engineerium is what you think it is. Remember that Mortragor is going to scour the station to kill all of us. Remember that Mortragor isn't the boss.

Mortragor evidently has a very poor sense of direction. I mean, he was apparently looking for me, and he ran into the Arbites instead...

Petrosjko: would the techs actually be able to restore gravity from the enginarium, or was the system itself disabled?

Tycho is in the Engineerium, not the Hydroponium. He's no where near Prius and Pater. He's cleaning house on Mortragor's boys. No one is bailing them out (although they could use it).

In real-life terms, the system was hacked by a local sympathizer, and would have to be fixed at a software level.
In 40K terms that means somebody has to appease the machine spirit of the gravity generators with the proper incantations and runic sequences to bring it back online.
So it's doable, by the right person...

Except that there are no troops remaining in the enginarium. They pulled out some time ago to go reinforce the attack on the Command Centre. Besides, Tycho said he was trying to reinforce PAter, Prius and Nathan a while ago.Imperial Overlord wrote:Tycho is in the Engineerium, not the Hydroponium. He's no where near Prius and Pater.
