Althought a character death isn't truly official unless it ends with 'He died.', so there's still hope.

(Note that this applies to female characters as well...)

I never said he died. I said the life faded from his eyes, which it did as the Daemon Sword stole it. And Lena took it back. His injuries weren't fatal without the life draining.
