there´s not supposed to be a background at all! are you sure there´s a bg? the bg of the pic is transparent.

is your board style set to a something on which the board is black and the bg of the pic by that appears black?

That's probably what it is; his theme may warrant a black background. Mine has a blue one.

well, yes mine too has a dark blue/grey background (black soul) but that´s not the point.
the point is that the pic is not supposed to have a background.

ok, the original pictures had white backgrounds. i deleted the white pixels. now they have NO background -> the background is transparent.

the background of the board depends on your setting of course.

my question was: does the picture itself have a background (which is non transparent) on any of your computers? if yes i cant explain it and my whole knowledge on the gif format is ruined.
