No. Want me to make some up for him and the Spec Ops Commander? :P
No, I just wanted to make sure that the name I gave him for my next story didn't conflict with anything Bungie might have put out that I missed.

Damn man. I thought for a second you meant inside. I've always tried to get inside the ship, but to no avail.

BTW: For anyone here has trouble killing the Tartarus in the end; Pick up the beam rifle in a container right before you hop into the banshee ( or wraith) when you're escorting Johnson's scarab. You really need to have the carbine in your other weapon slot. When you proceed past the messed up entrance and into the 1st room, try to nail a brute with a plasma grenade. Double back to the doors, and start making headshots. When the confrontation with Tartarus begins, allow Johnson to punch through Tartarus' shields with his rifle first. Then plug him with as much firepower as you can dish out ( Brute rifles work the best). Then pull out your own beam rifle, dish out 3-4 shots into him to lower his sheilds, pull out your other gun, and do what you do. If you time this right, and if you're in a good line of sight of Johnson, you can wither him down in a short period of time. Especially when you do this with fellow elites nearby. This works on Legendary as well. Just watch out for reinforements.

I just Shotgunned him to death. Of course it took like 20 minutes to do so.

With that 8 gauge monster? What were you, twenty feet from him? The effective range on that thing is nil, but once you get close to something it'll mess 'em up in a hurry. :P Of course, I don't know how tough Tartarus is...

A Brute on speed with an instakill melee weapon is hard to approach within 20 feet, but it can be done. I actually Plasma Sworded him to death for fun on Normal- you just have to wait for him to be stunned from a Beam Rifle shot, jumping, or in the split second between his chained hammer attacks.

Shotgun does work pretty well. You just have to have damn good timing, and have to get really close, and you have to run backwards really damn fast before he taps you on the head with his anvil on a stick.

I tried using needlers, but I still kill him in the same amount of time than if I were to use the carbine and plasma rifle. It's tricky to get the shots to detonate in the short time the shields are down.

Also: Swordwhores, please grow a pair.
I usually play on a friend's X-BOX in a room with numerous people, so active camo + swordwhoring = punch in the face and verbal abuse.

Best HALO 2 moment? Falling off a ledge in Ascension by accident just as the Banshee flies by, and hijacking it. Priceless.

We Had a Halo 2 Lan party for my Friends Birthday party yesterday Dec 19th. Here are some pics

We had some great games. Played a team slayer and king of the hill with 4 teams of 4. That was great fun. We ended up getting 8 t.vs and xbox's so players only had to share a half screen most of the time. My goal was 16 tv's and xbox's but hey, 8 is pretty damn good

I learned a new trick I figured I'd share with you guys. Especially since I don't see you guys on Live! anyways.

This is kick ass too. To do this, you have to have the Rocket Launcher and the Sword. With the rocket launcher, whether you are zoomed or at regular sight, get the reticle over your target, but have it just slightly off but still red. Then hit Y to switch weapons, and tap your R trigger twice really damn fast. It's hard as hell, but I'm starting to get it down with some regularity now. What happens is you fly the fuck across the map to your target. Some friends and I practiced on Coagulation, Headlong and Foundation and we could do it from the very moment your targeter goes red. I managed to do it in a match and got a double kill for it. If you practice it though, do a FFA slayer with just swords and rockets. Turn the overshields on and grenades off. Then empty your RLs because we kept accidently rocketing each other. Also learn the sword cancel. AFter you lunge you hit X and it will cancel before you get to the target.

Were you born with out a sense of humor or did you lose it in a tragic whoppy cushion accident? -Stormbringer

Here's one for you:

Start up a two player game like so:

2 Players
Overshields [optional, it makes launching and penetrating the invisible wall at the end of the map easier.]
Rockets and Swords
Damage Resistance [Optional, it makes launches easier IMHO.]
Ghosts

Take the Ghost on foundation, and drive it up to the second floor by way of air vent. Then, slam it into the three stacked fusion cores while boosting. At the right angle, it'll send you flying to the top of the level with minimal damage [the overshield is for later].

Sword-Rocket Fly like the poster 2 up mentioned through the hole in the very center of the map's "ceiling." Aim up and cancel to avoid falling.

Run to one of the invisible walls at the edge of the map, and get hit by a boosting ghost- it'll send you through the barrier.

You're now on top of the easiest map to get to the top. It has little practical purpose, but I did acidentally throw myself to the top of the level in a Ghost once during a real game. It was a nice sniping spot with the Battle Rifle.

Or even better, go to Campaign with the Sputnik Skull- two grenades is enough to send your Warthog almost half a mile up...

There's a number of tricks like that. If you go to Burial Mounds or Headlong have a Wraith. When you boost straight into a ghost or another player, they'll go flying into the air.

Indeed, but I figured that the on I shared was so easy that it might actually have a tactical use.

Speaking of Wraiths, this is an old one from like the twentieth of November- Though it usually would not happen in a regular game, since the two would be shooting eachother at the same time, if you ram a Scorpion and a Wraith and the Wraith boosts, the Scorpion can go flying. Like, cross-gulch, spinning at thousands of rpm and richocheting everywhere type flying.

As I discovered when trying it, Well, pretty much anything a Wraith hits while boosting goes flying. If you survive, a Wraith can pretty much slingshot you halfway around Coagulation. Hitting a Ghost head-on will cause they to fly backwards while flipping... ramming a sword-rocket-flying player will negate their momentum and send them backwards. A boosting Wraith can also seemingly magically fly over obstacles like the rocks with the needler in between them [where the powerups used to be in Halo 1] at Coagulation.

I never guessed that such a slow acceleration would hold so much power.

Yeah, one of my favorite tricks with the wraith is to ram a player at boost so he goes flying backwards, then plug him mid-air with the mortar.
