Bounty Hunter

Post by Kuja »

In ESB, we saw a group of six bounty hunters ready to track down the Falcon. Although Boba Fett got the prizes, all of them earned spots in the limelight, and multiple EU stories. Who is you favorite?

Mine, obviously, is IG-88.

Considering IG-88 was hell bent on destroying all organic intellgant life in the unverise I have to vote *No on them :D

4-Lom and Zukkus are a team so its kinda unfair to put them seperate
But acutal out of all of them I oddly enough and stuck with 4-Lom, The bot has some guts I'll give him that, He starts as a C-3P0 style droid but reporgmas himself to like stealing, gets board stealing decisdes Bounty Hunting would be fun, Gets his programering flush of all that useless No killing stuff, Then teams with the Gand to learn how to use *intiuition to help him on hunts, He starts getting it down, And heres the kicker decides he should learn the Force to cause it will help him out :D
As Zuckus puts it, he's never seen a droid more determined to improve himself :D

Not very original, I guess, I voted for Boba Fett. But Ig-88 was my second choice. I prefer Boba over 88 just because it looked better in his armor, and was responsible for tracking Han Solo. Quite good, for a bounty hunter.

What's with all these polls without the correct answer? Jango baby. At least someone had to try and kill him.

What? Jango's the only bounty hunter I've seen that got sliced and diced. All of those on the board have gone up against Luke or Han or Leia, and they haven't gotten killed.

I still admire Greedo for having the balls to tangle with solo. It was a stupid and fatal mistake for our green, sucker-eared rodian to approach Solo in such an arrogant manner. I'm sure that shot he received taught Greedo a valuable lesson :D

I've always preferred Dengar. His story (despite it being non-official) is a bit more tragic, and he seems to be not so gung-ho on blasting things to pieces.

Yeah, he's not nearly as badass as Fett, or deadly as IG-88, but he's the most human of the group.

I'd go with IG-88, because he's a robot gone mad.

Which bounty hunter has he coolest ship? I only know Bossk has the Hound's Tooth, IG-88 has the IG-2000, and Boba Fett has Slave I, Slave II, and I think they mentioned a Slave IV in one of the books. Only Slave I is canon, though.

Dengar has the Punishing One and from all accounts its a decent old thing but not very good
4-Lom and Zuckus have the Shadow-Hunter which is supposed to be on pair just from a WAG with Slave 1

rest are unknows

Its easy to say that Boba Fett is the fan choice Bounty Hunter. But to really look at it its actually the mistery behind the character that makes him great. Well before the storyarcs the books Boba Fett was just a character. The thing that made him great on his few seconds of life in ESB was the mystery of his past and why he wears such cool armor and a helmet. If you look at other movies as well as Star Wars. any character who has a cape or helmet gives us mistery and we want to learn more of them. And we make them fan choice characters

And if it hadn't been for Dengar, he probably would've died there, cause he was too weak to get to shelter.

I think there was a comment by Dengar in that book as to how, if Boba Fett hadn't been Boba Fett, he would've died. Says a lot about the man when he survives partial digestion and being next to a thermal detonator when it goes off.
