New stats for Star Destroyers

Seem to mean that the only real statics on Star destroyers are stat for both the RPG and Computer games, both obviousily wrongs when it come to the number of turbo lasers, lack of missiles / fighters defenses, etc...

So what does the every one think the numbers of turbo laser guns, photon torp batteries or concussions missile batteries, anti missile and anti Star fighters batteries should be for

Victory class?

ISD1?

ISD2?

ISD3 (?) ?

Varies class of Super Star Destroyers?


Shield strength and possible Hull Strength?

Speed/Acceleration ( In units that we can under stand)?

Tons should be good, Smaller numbers are easier to understand(Then say 1^23J )

I think the VSD has no HTLs, so it's most powerful weapons are probably TLs in the mid-megaton range, or large missiles.

Acceleration is measured in meters per second squared, and ISDs demonstrated good acceleration.[/list]

Mid-megaton range? I would rate a MTL at least in the high hundreds of MT, considering what is probably a HTL is rated at 200GT.

I have always thought that medium turbolasers had firepowers approximately equivalent to a gigaton or two per shot. That would be in keeping with ICS, and everything we have seen from the movies.

I'd say since the Acclamator's heavy weapons have 200 gt and he's a mere transport, we can say that the medium guns of a ship dedicated to ship-toship combat have around 100 gt or perhaps even more.

The "Super Star Destroyer" is really a slang name for anything bigger then a ISD. But here are the big guys.

"Vengeance" Class (seen in Jedi Knight, not actual name)
Sovereign Class (mentioned in DE sourse book)
Executor Class (seen in ESB)
Eclipse Class (seen in DE)
Eclipse Class II (seen in IIRC DE II? Or EE)

Hmm seems like somthing we need to do is tag down Medium TL as while a TRANSPORT from thirty years ago heavy guns where 200 GT where does this place the Medium Gun of a ISD Thirty years later with the Heavy Guns(And ones probably used for BDZ ops) in the very high Gigaton to mid Teraton where does that place mediums?

I've always assumed the've been anywhere from 5GT-20GT with HTL at 2-3 TTs

Im currently attempting to count the guns from the many pictures(550) ive taken of the model of the Executor. the most common big weapon appears to be a triple barrel gun with barrels approx 30-40 metres, i've counted around 15-16 of these so far, there also appears to be a few bigger gun type fixtures, with possible barrels lengths of 50 or 60 metres or so. These are twin barrel, and there appear to be around 5 or 6 so far. there are numerous parts that could be a double mountings for light turbolasers, i've counted over a hundred of these so far if I can remember right. I havent looked in a while.

I'm not so sure the ISD II or Avenger Class has 9 medium guns in 3 turrets like the Imperator class or ISD I. The pictures of the Type 2 do not show these turrets like they do on the ISD I. On the ISD I they are clearly visible on the dorsal hull below the lower terrace.

Also I wonder if the gun sizes are measured in centimeters. The original designs indicated that an ISD I has guns in the range of:

38cm this being the largest
19cm
60 mm laser cannons for point defense
80 mm Ion cannons for point defense.

Further review of the model of the Avenger class (ISDII) show what could be heavier turrets in the major and minor brim notches.

Anyway, how about other vessels, such as small capital ships and starfighters?

I think that the Blockade Runner's large guns are as powerful as an LTL on a Star Destroyer, and the smaller guns, which could vary, depending on the ship's age, are about 50 kilotons for the Tantive IV guns.
