Nothing leaps to mind... no TK, no TP... (I'm figuring he didn't do jack to that space marine he jumped... the marine was just stunned from Nathan's blast, not anything Prius did.)

I reserve the right to have other abilities emerge under duress, but that should do it for now.

Still think you should develop a "Killer Darth Vader Impression" as one of my marvel anti-heroes used to call it.

being interviewed: We see you are listed as a Gamma/delta grade mutant in terms of power, yet listed as Alpha grade in terms of versitility?
Character: Well let's see, I can object read, enough TK to move small objects, enough skill to pick locks, jam firearms, muck oversome's surface thoughts enough to keep them from hitting me, and know what their up too. I hunt serial killers, I think I am in love with a psychic figment, and I do a mean darth vader impression.

It would let me use this very appropriate scene sometime.

"There's a thousand orks and ten of us! The Emperor can't help us here, we're gonna die!"

"I find your lack of faith... disturbing." BLAM. "Now, the nine of us will dispatch the foul xenos."

Ah! Next time she jumps in Pater's lap, she can assist him in getting that prosthetic weiner.

That would be my Bride of Satan, actually.

And she would resent the notion that any other cat could actually be compared to her. In her mind she is an entirely independent species that transcends all other, lesser felines.

In fact, she recently informed me that Satan should henceforth be referred to as "The Husband of Sasuko".

Do believe IO has faded on us, Pcm. Might as well kick Severa off the ship in a quick cutscene and then commence with the grilling.

Actually, I don't know how to do it. I'll wait. Unless someone can help.

Ayeee... not sure myself. I don't know how Gix would take Pater horning in on the investigation... not to mention the implicit revelation of surveillance in the whole 'throwing people against the wall' business.

Oh, aren't you all Mr. Fancy with your "I got permission" and "He said it was okay"?

FINE!

We'll play it your way... this time. :P

"So, is it true that your security officer is free for dating?"

"Does she have any favorite restaurants? Cadian? Terran? Ultramarian?"

"Has she mentioned any kinks while you were, y'know, girl-talking?"

Sure, any time.

Honestly, let's stop and think... at this point, what is Pater looking for with regards to the Wager? Gix took Synnove's behavior and Uschi's defense of it to be an indication that something was afoot. Does Pater subscribe to this? Or at this point is it a 'better safe than sorry' approach?

Is he trying to smooth relations here for some reason?

Give me his motivation for intervening here and I might be able to help.

He wants to smooth relations for multiple reasons, the main one being that he feels that too mamy people are tied up inspecting the thing when they should be combatting Chaos.

Being an Inquisitor he is a a paranoid bastard, of course. So he's not siding with them or anything.

Didn't think for a minute that he considered them anything like above suspicion.

If he's looking to smooth relations and short-circuit the inspection, his tactic would likely be somewhat 'good cop' in nature, the 40K equivalent at least... stern but fair, citizens of the Imperium blah blah blah and so on. Nothing to suggest that there was any wrongdoing by Gix, of course, because Gix was fully within his rights to take the actions he did, both legally and ethically... (by Inquisitorial ethics, it was the soft touch, as we all know.)

Peppering this with a few trap questions on the off chance that Uschi and company are really closet heretics and might slip up at a slight show of kindness.
