Now, I know, I know, you'll object and say, well, it's still 27%, that's hella high. And it is. But, didn't like 5% of Britons think Battlestar Galactica actually happened?
I agree that this is blown out of proportion upon closer examination of the statistics, but I don't think believing that Battlestar Galactica really happened compares with supporting racist policies against American citizens in moral repugnance.

including whether mosques should be closely monitored, or Islamic fundraising organizations should be investigated. If you answered "yes" to any of these, whoops, you support curtailing Muslims's rights.
That's because it is curtailing their rights.

It is not a curtailment of civil liberties for FBI agents to investigate mosques/Islamic charities for funding overseas terrorism any more than it is for them to investigate Catholic churches in Boston for sending money to the IRA. Or Southern churches for funding abortion clinic bombers. Or any church engaging in any kind of illegal activity.

Sorry, but the statement is very vague and there have been numerous reports in the news of Muslim organizations and charities in the United States funneling money into overseas terrorism. It is perfectly reasonable in light of this fact for someone who has seen these reports and believes them to be at least possibly true to expect the FBI to do its job and investigate the groups in question. Hell, I expect them to.

As for the statements about Muslim registration and singling out Muslims solely based on their race, I don't have any defense, because it is indefensible from my perspective.

I mean, this is basic Googling skills, people. I know you all want to believe the USA is a goose-stepping shithole, so I guess it's understandable.
You really want to delve deeper into the specifics based on that report, shithead? OK, fine:

40% of Republicans in the poll thought that all Muslims should be forced to register with the government.

An astonishing 76% of Republicans and 79% of people who described themselves as highly religious said that the government should be able to detain people indefinitely based on suspicion of terrorism. Among the general population, it was not much better: 63%

36% of the public said that "certain unAmerican actions" should be outlawed. Hear that? A third of the population wants a return to McCarthyism.

It's the height of dishonesty to claim that the US looks better when you look more closely at the figures in that survey, when it actually looks worse; how typical for an apologist.
