stupid. Anything that is to big to run yourself (with a sexy first mate) is useless. Give me a nice 55 ft sport fishing boat with a couple of 10 cyl Volvo turbodiesels.

Anything worth doing with a boat is worth doping with a big, big boat. I would want a converted Aircraft Carrier.

IIRC Choey Lee currently builds 150-200 foot yahts with dual drive systems (4 screws and a gas turbine). They can hit speeds upwards of 70 knots on calm seas.

I seriously doubt propellers are being used, they really don't work for speeds that high and certainly water jet would do a better job. But anyway, 70 knots isn't that impressive for a ship of that size without demands being on the hull for combat systems. Still pretty damn fast though. Happen to know what the hullform is?
