I like the War of the Worlds martians - partly because of their bizarre, squid-like appearance*, partly because of the fact that they were defeated by a disease which we humans consider totally mundane.

*Dare I say "Cthulhu Go Home"??
"Hi there, would you like to have a cookie?"

"No, actually I would HATE to have a cookie, you vapid waste of inedible flesh!"

Better not, unless of course you wish to be sacrificed to the Great Lord Cthulhu.

Marvin rocks!

Anyone who wants to blow up planets just because it ruins the view is ok in my book!

BTW, in War of the Worlds, weren't the martians using some sort of microwave gun? I've read it a looooong time ago, can anyone confirm this one?

John Carter is my personal favorite.

I love how he charges straight into situations where his only plan is to kill everyone. The hilarious thing is that he always succeeds. I haven't finished the series though. So as Martians go, I'm all for the Warlord.

The Martians of Santa Claus Conquers The Martians —the brave Kimar, scheming Volgar, and of course everybody's favourite, Droppo? Loveable, drunk, incompetent Droppo. Who can fail to be amused every time we find him hiding in the Radar Box?

On the one side you have Count Dooku's vast Battle Droid army...

On the other you have the Mek-nificant Seven

Hammerstein
Joe Pineapples
Deadlock
Mongrol
Mek-Quake
Morrigan
Blackblood

& of course Ro-Jaws providing witty remarks...

as a fan of 2000ad, and Alien Legion cool.

of course if they had Jugger Grimrod, and his two "Ferrets" (Small mammilian/rodent like aliens, with Ferret like personalities, ok stealing the enemies, atomics "Because they are shiny", is scary...)
