How much live ammo did those 270 men carry? 270 men can't cover all or most of a country when many thousands have a hard-on for chopping up defenseless people. Unless there was some sort of re-supply and/ or reinforcements, those guys would have empty rifles and then what? Most of the genocide was carried out with machetes and knives, but there sure as hell were enough AKs floating around to eventually overwhelm Dallaire's troops quickly enough. Anyway, with 270 troops it isn't even physically possible to cover the entire country.
