My award-winning coffeeshop window!
As a couple of you already know, the coffeeshop where I work was in a competition against 25 other businesses in the Canton/Highlandtown area in Baltimore City. Three winners were chosen, based on votes cast as to who had the best holiday decorations, and my coffeeshop was one of the three that won! We get $1000 in facade renovations, which means we get the new all-glass door we've been wanting, new lighting for our sign, possibly even a new canopy--not sure yet, but it's a great prize!
Anyway, I only got two shots before the batteries in my camera died, but you can get some idea of what it looks like--we usually have those wire sculptures set up with books, but we turned it into an indoor/outdoor ski lodge for Christmas. Rachel and I came up with the design idea, and Sarah, Pat and I made/put together everything. Check it out!
Linked so formatting doesn't go screwy.
Pretty self-explanatory--two people sitting in front of the holiday-decorated hearth, warming up from skiing with their little wire-mugs of coffee.
On the far side of the window, you can see a wire guy with a red vest on--he's got skis in his hand, and a 'Learn to Ski' book in the other. He's standing on a snow covered hill with a sign that reads "Bunny Slopes," and there are glittery snowflakes and icicles that are hanging from the ceiling that look GORGEOUS at night against our shop lights (and the icicle lights I hung at the top of the window), but you can't really see them that well in the daytime.
Edit: Was messing up das formatting.

With the windchill, it was about 0 degrees yesterday when I took those pics. I can feel an echo of how cold it was seeing my reflection in that window--all those layers, and that mega-thick scarf!Col. Crackpot wrote:thats pretty cool Z!
gah! look! It's the shadowy apparition, Ghost Zaia reflecting in the window! run away! run away! .
