Hmm... If I recall correctly, there was some Borg system (Not transwarp... I think) that allowed ships to travel extremely fast. I was in the Endgame Episode of Voyager.

My storyverse has two methods of FTL, as it stands:

The first is basically a wormhole, only its open to fourth dimensional space.

The second is what can be best described as a device which makes the speed-to-energy curve as described by relativity, into the linearity described by Newtonian physics. However, you need "accellerators" and "deccellerators" in order for it to work. Because of this, its only used in-system, because you have to literally aim the ships course so it ends up precisely within the deccellerators otherwise it'll continue on at FTL speeds. I guess theres the possibility of having gigantic deccellerators for interstellar but .. well yeah that would be neat. lol
Sì! Abbiamo un' anima! Ma è fatta di tanti piccoli robot.

I just remember, there was another Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy system of FTL. The Infinite Improbability Drive :D It made a hell of a defense system too

And all you needed for it to work was a cup of really hot tea
data_link has resigned from the board after proving himself to be a relentless strawman-using asshole in this thread and being too much of a pussy to deal with the inevitable flames. Buh-bye.

Yes but it had some nasty side effects, like creating an infinite amount of monkeys. 8)
