Yeah, his hunger grows to new levels. My beef was literally both Nihilus and Sion felt like "I'm like Darth Maul...I grunt and you have to whomp me!!!"SylasGaunt wrote:And lets not forget Nihilus tends to abate that hunger by flying around and snarfing the force connections of entire planetary populations.. not to mention their life force after he kills them.
Sure Visas tried to add a dimension to her master, but for me...just made him more one dimensional. And Sion was in the end...a whiny crybaby who wanted Kreia to give him sweet lovin.

Could Nihilis at least have had some goddamned subtitles... its like if Vader just breathed and never spoke... I swear my yamaha keyboard can make that sound.. It really hurt the character imo. And even though visas acted all dramatic when i fought him... he still fell like a little bitch in 20 or so seconds.
I was cool as hell though that out of nowhere i made my party jedi.
Did anyone else play on the hardest difficulty and use atton like a tanking weeble wobble? Was even more fun when he got to be a jedi. Works great if your a sith lord/ jedi master.

I used Atton only some bits in the beginning. After a point my Sentinel/Weapon master was such a tank...20 Dark wannabes were 20 pointless targets.Sporkzen wrote:Could Nihilis at least have had some goddamned subtitles... its like if Vader just breathed and never spoke... The Jedi party though was fun.
And no disagreement...Nihilus was basically there to go "Me will r0x0rs uz!!"

Yeah, well he didn't.
Myself, Visas, and Canderous bitch slapped him six ways from sunday.
Sion was a fucking pushover too.
The only time I ever had trouble was when I was fighting second incarnations Kreia/Darth Treya
And this is why you don't watch anything produced by Ronald D. Moore after he had his brain surgically removed and replaced with a bag of elephant semen.-Gramzamber, on why Caprica sucks

Dude, I nearly killed him before going into the second part. Funniest fucking thing to watch him go through the cutscene only to die when the game caught up with me.Darksider wrote:Ghost Rider wrote:

Sion was pretty much the same.
Treya herself wasn't even that bad...I just yawned when she went "Here's the true form of Mum-RA!!!!"

A breakdown of stuff.
Of the six class...Maruder and Weapon Master are honestly the best in extras.
1. They have feat that pretty much turn the nastiest damage into around 30% less. Combine that with shields and Force abilities. I've gone whole area taking at most 10 damage. With Regeneration...I didn't kwnow I was damaged.
2. While having huge FP pool is cool and my FP pool never going down...Sith Lord and Jedi Master are only fun as long as your basically spamming Force Storm. The other abilites aside from the ultimate Dark Side ability, have no where near the damage potential and the problem is at the end everything has around 250+ HP.
3. Force Storm is broken beyond words in this game. Aside for the killing power of a rampant Maruder or Weapon Master, this thing is the equalizer. Sadly not enough to make a Jedi Master or Sith Lord big time kick ass. It allows them to go through the game as you spam like made, but at bosses you have to pump a lot of it out.
4. Watchmen/Assassin suck in terms of special ability. Sorry the whole sneak behind and get uber one shot....PALES compared to the rest of the abilities. Maybe if this uber one shot did 1000 damage I would consider trying them out again.
5. Initial class? Go for what you want...your guys more then take up the slack in many ways. As long as you put a pip in some abilities, it helps out on most things except T-3.
All in all...essentially any of the classes work, but for Prestige...the Physical are the best. You get damage reducer more then enough physical power to KILL anystupid critter and still stand and laugh off attacks without powering up. Also your force abilities are nearly the same for everyone...honestly. I was shocked that my uber Sith Lord with 40 Wisdom...only had 200 more FP and did about 50 more Force Storm damage versus my Weapon Master.
Why? Because my weapon master could do with his twin flurry around 500 damage...which is pretty much near Boss killing..let alone thugs. And he did that prior to any criticals...at criticals...he did around 700-800.

Just finished (played light side female), and I was really not impressed with that ending either. Kreia just crumples up and dies, then the planet starts collapsing, the Ebon Hawk rises up out of friggin' nowhere even after it had that disagreement with a mountain, and it rises up from the discorporating planet while the Hawk flies off into the sky. You don't see or hear anybody, no resolution, just bye-bye. I was extremely disappointed.
R0X0Rs
Got rid of a lot of the little annoyances of KOTOR1, like having to exit the ship to equip companions, having the level 20 barrier, the fact you always had a pazak disadvantage
Being able to construct improvements and equipment.
The expanded alien gallery.
The varied use of skills. Awareness is good for something besides spotting mines. There's actually a reason to have security rather than busting things open.
Bringing back a suped-up T3, the disgruntled HK-47, and Canderous as companions.
SUX0Rs
Gender bugs. Had a female character and female Revan, and both of us are referred to in the masculine on multiple occassions, sometimes in the same conversation where we're referred to in the feminine.
Lightsaber, or lack thereof. It took too long to get one in my opinion.
Difficulty level, or lack thereof. There's a lot of stuff that proved quite hard in the early middle portion of the game, but then after that you develop far faster than the bad guys can keep up. Putting down Sion should take more than two rounds.
The anti-climactic ending.
I don't mean this to sound crass, but I would compare playing this game to being with a highly-skilled lover who gets up and walks out two thirds of the way through the act; I love the performance, but let's make sure we finish the job.

One thing about this game, which I think was the correct choice, was the death of the Jedi Council.
When I went to hell and back to gather up all the Jedi and save the Galaxy, and when I returned to Dantoonie I was very pleased to see the rebuild Jedi Enclave. I had a feeling of pride that I had done something to restore peace and order to the Galaxy, and things were starting to move in the right direction.
And so I saw the three remaining Jedi Masters, and told them my story. Now that I had showed them the threat and pledged to help them, what did they say...what did Vrook, the stubborn bastard do?
"No we will remain in hiding, the threat has not materialize...I need to meditate...I am concerned about the consequences of our actions...etc etc etc"
And just for a moment I lost myself in the game, I was pissed off...it was the Mandalorian invasion all over again. These Jedi were content to sit on their dildoes while the galaxy burned, the republic crumbled, and the Sith were wiping out entire worlds. I realized that I was just wasting my time by gathering these naval-gazers together so they could blame me for all the troubles of the galaxy and again do nothing to stop the coming darkness. And then the fuckers had the nerve to lay the blame for everything on the Exile, rather than fess up to their own faults.
Atton was right, at least with the Sith you know where they stand.

If you want to do more damage with the Force invest points in Charisma. Wisdom simply gives less of a chance that the enemy will have a "saving" roll.I was shocked that my uber Sith Lord with 40 Wisdom...only had 200 more FP and did about 50 more Force Storm damage versus my Weapon Master.
Devolution is quite as natural as evolution, and may be just as pleasing, or even a good deal more pleasing, to God. If the average man is made in God's image, then a man such as Beethoven or Aristotle is plainly superior to God, and so God may be jealous of him, and eager to see his superiority perish with his bodily frame.

Eh...problem was I had only an 22 Charisma for the other S/WM...and I was using the Best Force Form for the C/SL...and she had a 30 Chr.BlkbrryTheGreat wrote:If you want to do more damage with the Force invest points in Charisma. Not that it really matters anyway- its not like the game is THAT hard. Regardless, Charisma with Persuade/Dominate Mind is alot of fun anyway.....Ghost Rider wrote:Eh...problem was I had only an 22 Charisma for the other S/WM...and I was using the Best Force Form for the C/SL...and she had a 30 Chr.BlkbrryTheGreat wrote:If you want to do more damage with the Force invest points in Charisma. Ok... I just finished the game, and I'm treated to a Giant Rock floating in space. A very shitty ending indeed. Thats the Dark Side ending I guess?

Hooray for necromancy! Though 10 days is only mild necromancy
Just finished the game last night as a male lightsider guardian/master. The game was kickass...until the ending, which was a total let-down, even compared to the KOTOR I light side ending.
A few questions for the others who have beaten the game:
1) Romance? What romance? The best I managed to get out of Handmaiden was a few veiled inuendos when training naked, her backstory, and something possibly resembling a profession of love on Telos after fighting Atris. I never got anything out of Mira and only got Visas to profess anything towards the end, when we apparently sat together looking at one another through the Force. Where's the blatant romance that Revan and Bastila share in KOTORI, damnit? What did I not do?
2) HK-47/T3-M4: I never managed to unlock much from these guys. As I understand, unlocking T3 grants some kind of cutscene from KOTOR1, and unlocking HK can lead to a few interesting things, but my computer/repair skills were never high enough to unclock T3 and I never found the final piece to fix up HK, so he remained standing in that little alcover throughout the game for me.
3) Bao-Dur: Does he ever say anything useful? Apparently, you can make him a Jedi too (I think GR mentioned that you can make everyone except the three droids and the Wookiee -- who you don't get as a lightsider anyway -- into Jedi), but whenever I went to talk to him after the first bout of conversation, the only option I got was "Never mind." What gives?
Anyway, the game is awesome up until the ending, and leaps and bounds beyond KOTOR1 in terms of acting and story (again, up until the end), though I have to confess wishing that there were a plot-twist as with KOTOR1's revelation that you are Revan. That caught me off-guard and I thought it was a pretty bad-ass twist. I could see Kreia as a the great manipulator/villain in disguise from a mile away.
Overall, I'll probably give it another run through in a few days or so. But if anyone has any answers to my above three questions, I'd muchly appreciate them.

It's like any of the Jedi wannabes...usually a trigger. His is about the Dxun moon at a high enough level. As a Jedi he's not bad...but like the others...he's basically very high his class/really low Jedi. So far for me barring Handmaiden/Disciple who had better combat skills to start, the rest were mostly eh as Jedi.
As for HK-47...his pieces are on Peragus(HK-50), Nar Shadaa(Buy from Kodin and HK-50), and Onderon(Buy from Droid).
As for the end...not going to even say otherwise...both of them sucked. Though sadly the Light is better then the dark....by what little there is.
Though playing the game a third time with one light and dark saved...gives some funnier extra dialogue.

Hmm, not quite done yet. On Melachor V now, and about ~40 hours.
The game is longer than KOTOR I and alot of things are better. There is not a big focus on earning wealth. I raced once, and really only did bounties and bonus missions and I have all the cash I need, in fact more than I need. Something akin to 300,000 credits that I don't even use.
The character interactions are priceless, though there is a detached air about it. In KOTOR I, you can get some pheudo lovin but not much in II. I liked the way the music meshed better in I more so than II.
I gotta go back through as a dark sider, but I noticed a lack of 'Dominate Mind' options in the dialouge which was one of the funner things in KOTOR I.
Visa and the Handmaiden are the bomb. Me and my 'harem' clear boards easily. I went the Jedi Master route, I 'Force Waved' my way through most things, built up the 'dual strike' on my 'harem' and let them do the dirty work. My master flurry gets 60-40'ish so a good push and a couple swipes takes out most thugs, not having alot of problems with bosses either.
The Darth Nilis thing was anti climatic, at least at this point. Perhaps the last bit will prove enlightening.

They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong
But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

List of HK parts and where to get them:
Peragus: After killing your first HK-50. Search its corpse. (Vocabulator)
Telos arctic mesa: Search the 3 HK-50 remains. ( Control Cluster)
Dantooine: Sullustian has another control cluster in his inventory.
Nar Shaddaa: Kodin has the processor in stock. When you kill the 3 HK droids in Vogga's wherehouse, search the remains for the chassis.
If you get high enough influence with HK, you get to unlock some pretty funny dialog. Especially when you ask him who his former master was. He takes a swipe at Carth and/or Bastilla depending on the gender and what side Revan was on. One good way is to have him in your party on Dxun. Kill the mandalorian on the ledge with the permacrete.
If you're having lady/man troubles, you can ask HK what love is to him.

He takes a swipe at Carth and/or Bastilla depending on the gender and what side Revan was on. One good way is to have him in your party on Dxun. Kill the mandalorian on the ledge with the permacrete.
If you're having lady/man troubles, you can ask HK what love is to him.
Another thing about Nihilus is that you learn barely anything about him.. whereas with Malak in KOTOR 1 you know at least how he fell to the dark side. With Nihilus, there's almost NOTHING. Yeah so he eats the Force out of people, so what? He's a crappy villain. Same with Sion. As for Atris, she's a better villain than those two crapheads. Kreia was obviously manipulating the Exile, which was pretty friggin obvious, other than that she made a good villain I think. The storyline seems a little incomplete from where I'm standing, unless I missed something.
And did anybody find the HK-50 factory??? I have a theory that it's the sublevel of the Telos military base (theres a malfunctioning HK-50 near it, and it's magnetically sealed, but seems to open up to another area), but I can't really prove that since there seems to be no way of getting back there...
