I think it will be like watching a carwreck, you can't stop looking.
You were warned of the horror, I'm not responsible for the outcome of this!
Life is all the eternity you get, use it wisely.
Slave Ship is the one I read too.unbeataBULL wrote:was it? okay, slave ship is one i've read. that's the second book. and i've read one other. the 1st book.RogueIce wrote:That was the first book.unbeataBULL wrote:well, i think at least the Bounty Hunter Wars trilogy was good. i still haven't read the 3rd book though. "The Mandalorian Armor".
ah whatever.
Thats why I never bought any of the others.
To echo Frank, it's really worse than you can imagine. It's not even bad in a funny way or a so-bad-it's-good way. It's just the most painful thing you've ever seen. Don't watch it.Frank Hipper wrote:RogueIce wrote:Can you send it to me? I'm so very, very curious. You FOOLS!President Sharky wrote:Rogue 9, if possible, could you send a copy my way. Though I don't discuss specific continuity issues in this thread, I do want to the address the fact that in the Holocron, we track continuity by Holocron entry and not by source.
What that means is, a particular source would never be discounted in its entirety, only those elements of that source that are contradictory.
Hence, while there may be individual elements of say the Marvel Comics or the Holiday Special that are considered non-continuity, all the other parts can still be valid.

1500$ to the guy who can watch it for 5 hours continuously.

Okay, it's RealPlayer format, and really low resolution, but it's a long file. Not sure how large it is in MB, but I'm not going to try to send it over IM to anyone on dialup. I'll toss it on my server account temporarily when I get back, since there's such widespread interest.
Frank, Howedar, be quiet. I'm trying to get Ice to gouge out his eyes for getting everyone to call me Rouge. Stop warning him.

I'll take that bet, and, for an additional five hundred, will do so with full restraint ala A Clockwork Orange. You might all say it's too bad to be funny but you're reading the typings of a man who'll crack at the slightest provocation, and it's always possible that there's a second level of "so bad that it's good".unbeataBULL wrote:1500$ to the guy who can watch it for 5 hours continuously.
Am I going to need to get BitTorrent as well, or is this something I can download by some kind of download-manager-capable proxy?

That makes things just peachy: my manager'll work perfectly with that, and it's a day after I get back to the dorms. Thanks.Rogue 9 wrote:Right click>save as work for you? The server is http://renegade.frozenflame.org The video's not on there and won't be until January 17th at the earliest, though.

Well, at least the Holiday Special didn't feature a Star Destroyer getting blown up by a single X-wing, and the Death Star's superlaser failing to destroy a Federation Shuttle.FedRebel wrote:To quote Leland CheeFreeman's Trigger-Finger wrote:Fuck no! It's always depressing to see the young people get sucked in to watching the Star Wars Holiday Special. I too once was sucked in, and it was a decision that I will regret for the rest of my life. Nothing can prepare you for how bad it is. Neither English nor any other language have the words to describe the mental pain and anguish this will bring you.

I'm studying for the CPA exam. Have a nice summer, and if you're down just sit back and realize that Joe is off somewhere, doing much worse than you are.

The Ewok movies are also considered canon by Star Wars Magazine at least...Freeman's Trigger-Finger wrote:Fuck no! Lucasfilm decide's what is and what isn't, and Lucas is embarrased beyond words at the heaping pile of crap that is the Holiday Special.

Everybody was doing that to you long before I said anything to egg it on.Rogue 9 wrote:Frank, Howedar, be quiet. I'm trying to get Ice to gouge out his eyes for getting everyone to call me Rouge. Stop warning him.
I got it too (still do every so often). I just stopped making a big deal about it so people don't really bother anymore (and if they do I just overlook it anyway ).
You have only yourself to blame for Rouge, buddy.

I saw the Ewok movie. One of 'em at least. HBO or something had it on. Anyhow, the blaster firing when they were first on the ground? Pathetic.Col. Interestingly, NELVANA animation were responsible for that, the same animation studio which was later on employed by Lucas to produce the Ewok and Droid sereis, on account of the animated short in the HS being the only 'well received' part of the whole travesty...apparently.Slartibartfast wrote:I just had to turn this into my new avatar.
They told me there was nothing out there, nothing but fear. But the night my parents were murdered I caught a glimpse of something, and I've looked for it ever since. I went around the world, searched in all the shadows, and there is something out there in the darkness...something terrifying, something that will not stop until it has revenge. Stop whining, people. You should be thankful they did not decide to make Prequel Trilogy Holiday Special which would surely include Anakin's honeymoon vacation at Jar-Jar Bink's family residence. Of course, there would be a scene where Jar-Jar's daddy is sharing some tips for the young married couple, some would be based on Gungan's procreating tradition.
Share, damn you, share!Bellator wrote:I just downloaded the file from Kazaa...and it's every bit as bad as people tell you it is...not even ST's Nemesis or B5's Legend of the Rangers is that bad...
