[Movie] Rogue Ace

Post by Crayz9000 »

Many thanks to Laird for hosting this.

Rogue Ace Trailer, 320x240, Sorenson 3 codec, 34 MB/01:30

Starring my girlfriend's kid brother as Shaun O'Brian, myself as the representative, myself as the narrator, my girlfriend as the one opening the door, and pixels as the other fighter pilots.

All of the space footage was done in 3ds max 6; both starfighter meshes I designed and built myself, plus doing all the texturing on them. The movie itself I put together with Premiere 6.5.

Well... I suppose the answer would be whenever I get off my ass and make a full length version.

I forgot to mention in the OP that this was my final project for a digital video editing class, and a 3D design class, I took last semester. I'll probably be taking the follow-on class to it in a semester or two, and one of my classmates in the 3D class suggested I make a full-length (half hour or so) version of it.

Well, my teacher was lazy and so hasn't updated my grades, so I don't know for sure. He implied, however, that I had an A.

It's sort of a bizarre merging of The Last Starfighter and STGOD. The fighter that the kid flies is a VSE T-wing (that's being sold by my power in the current STGOD).
