Backdraft vs Ladder 49 (Main Themes)

Post by RogueIce »

So, which main theme do you like better for the firefighter movie? Which one just evokes an image of the firetrucks cruising along to go put out a fire amidst a backdrop of spectacular cityscape?

Me, it's a tough choice. Backdraft has the whole more action/heroic/march type thing going on. But Ladder 49 is more etheral I guess, and would lend itself to what it's opening showed: not just the trucks rolling, but also the firefighters doing their thing with the exterior shots and all. Plus, the name "A Call to Courage" helps boost it some.

So, if I had to pick...I'd go with Ladder 49. What do you all think is the better firefighter movie theme music?
