This is all Stravo's call of course, but when I read Starcrossed I think of young (TV series) Captain Kirk and not older (movie) Admiral Kirk. Besides, I believe the story has mentioned his gold shirt a few times.

Kirk is most decidedly early TOS era Kirk from the TV series. Old Kirk wouldn't be able to do most of what he's done so far physically.

It lives here, if you want it now. I plan on playing with the image some more though, maybe tonight or tomorrow (and seeing what Dalton finds). I can get the faces looking a lot better than yesterday, that was just a few sharpen filters. I was also thinking of trying Galvatron's text idea with Dalton's character images, go for the hat-trick collaboration submission.

An idea just struck me, the current sig image is like the 'hero' pic. How about a villain one. So many villains to choose from: Gary, Thrawn, Kahn, The Emperor. It could even be the same sig image in terms of the letters but I can envision a Thrawn/Emperor one with the duo replacing Kirk and Luke and the silouette of the deathstar behind the Starcrossed letters. I think it would be cool to alternate between the hero and villain sig.

I had trouble with Dalton's lettering and so I'll give it another go later. In the meantime, I instead borrowed Galvatron's lettering and voila, version # 2:
