Most beautifl actresses

Post by Perinquus »

Who are the most stunningly beautiful women ever to grace the screen? I realize that this is a highly subjective category (people rave over Uma Thurman, for example - Quentin Tarantino calls her the most beautiful woman on earth - and for the life of me, I can't see it), but certainly there are some women who are almost universally acclaimed as paragons of beauty. For what it's worth, here is my top ten (note, this list is not concerned with either talent or commercial success, just sheer beauty) :

Ava Gardner (best described by Gregory Peck: "So beautiful she could stop traffic". Possibly the most stunning beauty ever to work in Hollywood)
Audrey Hepburn (a little on the thin side, but a positively angelic face)
Dana Wynter (not just beautiful, but elegant)
Jessica Biel (best body in Hollywood today, bar none)
Jessica Alba (second best body in Hollywood today)
Lynda Carter (statuesque doesn't begin to describe her. And is it just me, or was she even cuter in her navy uniform than she was in her Wonder Woman outfit? If so, why?)
Jaclyn Smyth (In her 50s, still looks better than most women 30 years younger, and when she was in her twenties... :luv:)
Senta Berger (German actress - see "The Quiller Memorandum")
Mathilda May (French actress - does not appear to have aged very well, but stunning in her youth. See the otherwise unmemorable 80s film "Lifeforce" for a... ah... complete view :luv: [perhaps there should be a lust icon])
Sandra Bullock (not the stunning beauty that others on this list are, but combines nonetheless great beauty with a "girl next door" quality that makes her irresistable)

Sorry, but my opinion is unchanged. Hayek has the body, but her face is just slightly not pretty enough, IMHO (too strong a jawline). Jovovich has the face, but is too flat chested (note, on my list, both Sandra Bullock and Audrey Hepburn were also rather poorly endowed, but Hepburn had an almost incomparably beautiful face, plus a positively regal bearing, and Sandra Bullock has that aforementioned "girl next door" quality.)

Goddamn you should be able to edit thread titles. I just noticed the typo there. How I ever let that slip by me I don't know.

Jessica Biel is most definitely hot, I almost wet myself watching Blade: Trinity.

Kate Beckinsale is also a cutie.

Angelina Jolie is just smoking hot.

For some reason I can't seem to think of any more at the moment...

I thought the exact same thing while watching Texas Chainsaw massacre.

Rachel Weisz, the chick from the Mummy is also fucking hot.

Jessica Biel...meh. I wouldn't kick her out of bed but I don't care so much for her face.

I can't decide, so I'll just say that I'd let any of them into my bed anytime. Does this include the dead? That's for me to know, and you to become disgusted and never mention it again.

Don't limit yourself to the actresses working today. Past beauties can be as stunning as current ones. This applies to bodies as much as faces. Today's ideal of beauty seems slightly more athletic than that of a few decades ago. Dana Wynter, for example, who is on my list, worked in a time when women were less athletic on the whole, and nonetheless had a body that is jaw-droppingly beautiful even by today's standards - a slender figure with muscle tone that most women would have to spend considerable time in a gym to attain.

I note, with some interest, that no one has yet listed Marilyn Monroe. Not that I disaprove, mind you. I have always sort of wondered what the big deal about Marilyn Monroe was. Sure she was good looking, but...

She's not on my top ten list, you may note, and several other actresses that were edged out, such as Natalie Portmann, Salma Hayek, Milla Jovovich, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Racquel Welch, just to name a few, positively blow Marilyn Monroe away as far as I am concerned.

Mira Furlan- no I'm not talking about B5. I've actually watched several of her foriegn films and she can be both smoking hot and incredibly elegant.

Liv Tyler- I don't know. She can definitely look gorgeous and refined and damn if I would hit that.

In no particular order;

Angelina Jolie
Izabella Scorupco
Monica Belluci
Meryl Streep
Katharine Hepburn (I like spunk)
Estella Warren (my type of hot blonde)
Gina Gershon
Michelle Rodriguez (spunk and latin hottness)
Rose Byrne
Rachel Weis

I am a huge Sandra Bullock fanboy, in part because of that "girl next door" persona of hers. She actually seems like she would be a fun person to have around, even if you weren't romantically involved with her.

Michelle Pfeiffer is beautiful (although she's obviously gotten older), but her kind of beauty is the kind of "ice queen" beauty that makes me think she's beautiful in a sort of detached aesthetic sense but not a "va va vooom!" sense.

When it comes to oozing sexuality among mainstream actresses, I have to say that I'd list Sharon Stone at the top, followed by Gina Gershon.

I have trouble feeling that way about the younger actresses; I think they seem too girlish. And while Milla Jovovich has her legions of slavering fanboys, I would take "Basic Instinct" Sharon Stone over her any day. Except for the part about being murdered with an ice pick afterwards.

You can go for the 'Sliver' Sharon, and do her from behind.

Excuse me, boys, but I feel that there is a heresy going on here.

Catherine Zeta-Jones was only mentioned once in this thread. ONCE!

As for me, I'm a fan of Mila Kunis (who, last I heard, was dating Macaullay Culkin?).

Natalie Portman is also smoking, but she's really an obvious choice.

Young Liz Taylor, anyone? Talk about smoking.

I used to like Christina Applegate, but she's a bit heroin-chic for my tastes now.

Tara Reid (nipple scars and all) is CERTAINLY worth mention, I feel.

And say what you want about her acting, but I've had several dates with Kate Hudson and a box of Kleenex in my time...

I'm done now.

I wouldn't touch Tara Reid with a ten foot pole.

Nor, Wong, is Tara Reid likely to let you touch her with a pole of any length, shape, or construction. ;)

Jennifer Connelly (before she starved herself): Beautiful face, hair, and by far the best rack in the movies. I like a great rack as much as the next guy, but I worship the ass, so my next selections should come as no surprise.

Nicole Kidman: I once dated a girl who looked like her, only with dark hair. What a cute little nose! I only wish she'd left her hair RED (Kidman, I mean).

Kate Winslet: Only by Hollywood standards could she be considered a fat chick.

Liv Tyler: Eyes, lips, ass, legs... SCHWING!

Scarlett Johansson: ditto, but with a better rack and a prettier nose

Jennifer Lopez: Not J-lo

Ione Skye: What happened to her, anyway?

Judith Godreche: Screw the subtitles, they obstruct my view of her.

Monica Bellucci: The only reason I didn't walk out of Matrix 2-3: Retarded. She also provides the two best reasons to watch Coppola's Dracula. I'll bet a lot of the fundies kept watching The Splatter Of The Christ because she was in it and thus they could sport wood in a holy way.

Kate Beckinsale: Cute nose, great ass, but why does she hide her freckles? What kind of bullshit is that?

Sandra Bullock: same, only ignore the bit about the freckles

Jessica Biel: Her cheekbones alone put her on the list.

Salma Hayek: She's amazing, even though she really pissed me off when she played a stripper in From Dusk 'Til Dawn and didn't take her top off. :wtf: I felt so... violated.

Catherine Zeta Jones and Angelina Jolie were among the most beautiful women in the world. But Jones married an old lizard and Jolie married an old redneck lizard and got a bunch of freaky tattoos. She has also starved herself. Look at her in Foxfire and look at her now.

Special mention should go to Racquel Welch for giving me my first boner. I was 7 and wanted to see One Million B.C. because kids love dinosaurs. After I saw Welch in her buckskin push-up bra, I thought "Fuck Tyrannosaurus rex! I wanna see more of that! What the fuck is crawling in my pants?"

Not one of the women on my list has fake tits. I hate those things.
