EJ's voice took a grand part of it. With a character that didn't use a mask, then this would really be debatable, but in Darth Vader's case, sorry but I don't really think that body language was THAT much necessary. Only the voice told us whenever he WAS making a subtle/obvious threat in the first place. What did we saw though, was him pointing a finger, lowering his head a bit, and then turn swiftly and walk away. Not very much of a hint, is it?
You basically imply that any monkey could have worse the suit. Welcome to Stardestroyer.Net but don't think being a n00b will get you off the hook if you're thick as shite.
"Worse" or "worn" :) . Just kidding. What I implied/opined was that body language wasn't crucial, not as much as the voice. Besides, on the post you just quoted me, I did said (in the following paragraph) that I find Prowse's work admirable, as well that if George only needed someone to point a finger then he could've found the man with the lowest wages. However, to ME, JEJ's was even better than his, that's all.
Thank you for the welcome. And if I was as "thick as shite", then I wouldn't even register, now would I? :) Besides, if I ever need to "get off the hook", it wouldn't be in a conversation, but in legal matters.

*Long Sigh*
You do realize this is a waste of time, right? I'm not backing down and neither are you, so we could stay here repeating ourselves against each other indefinitely :( .
I'll admit that all this bickering (no pun intendend) was half-caused by me, for not specifying my point in my first post.
Just some last things:
"nit pick my typing"-> I found it funny, that's all. It's just a lame joke, for crying out loud. "execssively use smilies" -> MSN Messenger habit, I guess. Besides, I'm not the only member who does so... Am I? :?

There was no shoot. That photo's a composite shot.

That's how they got Jar-Jar and Grievous in there, since they're both CGI. :)
It was obviously a shoot with CGI composited in. Unless you think that they combined individual shots of every actor, even though some of them are holding each other
I'd need to see the magazine to be sure, but the newspaper article on the photo I saw said that shot was a composite.

As to touching each other, natalie's got her arm on George's shoulder, Carrie has her arms around Harrison's neck, but apart from that, there's no contact.
"So you want to live on a planet?"
"No. I think I'd find it a bit small and wierd."
"Aren't they dangerous? Don't they get hit by stuff?"

I'll be damned if Ian McDiarmid doesn't look eerily like Colin Mochrie....
It's a strange world. Let's keep it that way.

i must admit it will be a sad situation, when the end credits hit the screen next May...luckilly we can all see our favourite characters' adventures again and again on DVDs. Jar Jar in the middle of the picture, oh, come o...anyways, new episodes have their flaws, but we should all thank those remarkable persons in the picture for creating something everlastning and unique...thank you...
There is no emotion, there is peace,
there is no ignorance, there is knowledge,
there is no passion, there is serenity,
there is no death, there is the Force

Fear is the path to the Dark Side,
fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate...
hate leads to suffering

Poor Jarjar was hoping their cool factor bled off them and onto him.

What's even more scary is the regal way in which he sits in the centre of the shot, almost as though he's saying "I'm the king geek of it all!" Disturbing.

He´s IS one of the few people in the pic to survive until the end of the movie-saga. Even McDiarmid can´t boast that. ;)

In that article linked to in the OP, Lucas is mentioning something that has me interested:
"Even in the very first movie -- A New Hope -- when Vader is in the meeting and he chokes the guy for mocking him, someone else tells Vader to ease up," Windolf explains. "There's always someone there giving Darth Vader an order. It also comes back to the idea that the Force has a physical embodiment. Because Anakin's body is so injured in Episode III, he isn't as strong in the Force as the Emperor had hoped. And that's why it was so important to the Emperor in the original trilogy to replace Vader with Luke, who was stronger in the Force than his own father.
I can understand Luke being stronger than Vader, but the Force having aphsycial embodiment? Whatever happened to "Luminous beings we are, not this crude matter." Or maybe thats just the light side. I dunno, I just kind of wish GL would be quiet, make the movies, and not toss in all of this extra stuff and try to explain everything. The Force surrounds us and binds us, but now were talking about mid chlorians again and here I had already written them off (in my own mind) as a byproduct of Force sensitivity rather than the cause.
"If it's true that our species is alone in the universe, then I'd have to say that the universe aimed rather low and settled for very little."
-George Carlin (1937-2008)

"Have some of you Americans actually seen Football? Of course there are 0-0 draws but that doesn't make them any less exciting."

less physical body= less space for midichlorians to occupy=less force power?

Less Midis to talk to people => less things to do with The Force => Luke POWNing Vader in ROTJ. And insiders do hint about midis playing a role in ROTS, wonder if they are mentioned by name....?

Could be that the dark side is more focused on the matter than the light side? After all, if 'Luminous beings we are' were to be applied to the dark side, it would lose its meaning.

Now that you say that, it makes loads of sense. Obi Wan says to Vader in ANH he'll become more powerful when struck down, Meanwhile Palpatine has grown incredibly strong in the Dark Side, but his body withers away forcing him to use clone bodies in order to perpetuate himself. Then there was that guy in "The New Rebellion", Kueller, who was a young guy but fast strength through the dark side ravaged him pretty good.

I smell fic ideas. Either that or maybe I should cut back on the spicy guacamole.
