:wtf:

Eminem regrets releasing anti Bush single late!

You know, regardless of where you stood in the recent presidential election, you really have to laugh at a celebrity (especially one like Eminem who either offends a great many people, or is completely disregarded by so many others) who is arrogant and self-absorbed enough to seriously entertain the notion that he is so enormously influential, that he, all by himself, could have swung the election Kerry's way.

Oh if only he'd released that single a few weeks earlier... Things might be so different, and we'd have a different president in the White House now. Give me a fucking break.

I realize being a celebrity means you are in the spotlight, are bombarded with fan mail, are sought after by the media and the paparazzi, and are surrounded by toadies and sycophants, and all this can certainly give one an exaggerrated view of one's importance. But seriously, some of these celebrities really need to get over themselves.

How many people who listen to Eminem and take him seriously would have voted for W in the first place?

Does this mean they can un-circle the firing squad and all take aim at Eminem now?

I think him releasing a pro Bush single would have gone further towards helping the Kerry campaign.

Is this a thread about Eminem, or Michael Moore? :P

Won't the real Slim Shady please shut up ... please shut up ... please shut up ... ?

I have no problems with celebrities endorsing or speaking on behalf of candidates ... if public speaking had NO effect, then obviously the candidates wouldn't do it either. The more famous you are, the bigger audience you reach.

But puh-LEASE, anybody who thinks that their individual effort was a deciding factor needs to get some surgical head removing their head from their ass.
