Honestly, I could care less, but if you're going to be proud of a war ending, then fine. (Not that I'm saying that the war should have kept going mind you). I just am not proud that we continue to celebrate the fact that a war WE PARTICIPATED IN ended. Strange logic on my part, yes....but I think it's a waste of my time. But a moment of silence, out of respect.

I mean, no shit we're celebrating the end of a war that we fought in, otherwise we wouldn't be celebrating the end of it.

We don't celebrate the end of foriegn wars we haven't fought in, do we? No, we don't.

Why? Because we didn't fight in them. Simple as that.

So to sum it up, verilon: just be quite.

11 November is also the day we respect the dead of all wars, IIRC.

Okay, so I am not at my most coprehensible when I am sleep depping. Sheesh. I just don't like the idea of killing people en masse when not necessary (ie, WWI), especially when it oculd have been avoided.

And yes, we're not celebrating the war itself, but the END of it.
