Top one. I feel proprietary about the bottom one. I picked that one for a character of mine in an old fantasy game I was briefly in. Auliff Fallon, swordmaster extraordinaire.
Ah, cool.

And yes, the top one fits quite well. The physique is just about right and even the hair color isn't too far off. He's meant to just have a fair non-descript hair color, which makes the eyes all the wierder, and it's of course in a ponytail not lose.

Haven't read the latest Cinnabar yet. And Fortress is sitting out right where I can see it on one of my bookshelves.

Nor have I despite having it for a good long time now. I've been reading the rest of the series first and it takes the library forever to find them. And of course I read sporadically, going on tangents and switching series and the like.

I am the king of starting a series in the middle and then working back to the beginning.

Lemme dig around some, Yo-Bear. Statuesque, yet scarred up, right? Got any hair left?
Yes, dark but turned ashen prematurly due to way too much hardness.

It's worth a read, but it feels rather hasty. I was surprised it came out so fast after Lt. Leary, Commanding.

Still digging. Damn damn, where did I put that damn pic?

Okay, here's the one I rejected for not getting the physique right. It's good around the waist, but it goes to hell as it approaches the upper body.

I regret I have but one click to give for the Emperor

He was young and he needed the money. Do you think they just put cadets through the schola for free? This is the freaking Imperium we're talking about. Gotta pay tuition, gotta pay room and board... at least they do comp the ammo, but that comes out of service pay.

So can we just leave that little incident lie already?

Stormbringer, Gix isn't there. Hethor's there and he's an effin huge IG veteran.

Okay, here's the best I've come up with so far, Yo-Bear. Scarred-up warrior women are also a rare commodity.

Armor babe

Here's a slim possibility...

Click here if you want to live

The only other one I've found so far is VERY NSFW. And I really don't think that she runs about in a topless catsuit to show off her pierced nipples.

(Before everyone clamors for it, no, the pic is NOT erotic. More mind-scarring than anything.)

Ah, my bad.

And Guard, you do realize Varian's a Monodominant right? If a Guardsman gets uppity it's either time to hammer him or just outright start the executing. Tolerant he isn't. :P

One more possibility...

Don't ask me, I just work here

See, it'd be much easier if everyone's female characters looked like Lara Croft, because then I could supply a plethora of improbably-breasted brunettes from a variety of angles. For some odd reason, she seems highly popular in the newsgroups.

Hethor's not exactly afraid of anything short of a pissed off Astartes. Gix takes care of his own and anyone who wants to engage Hethor hand to hand was asking to die before Hethor got augments. Monodominants in close quarters aren't something that scares him. The phrase "following orders from Inquisitor Gix," gives him a lot of cover, which he will use shamelessly.

Yes, Hethor is an asshole. Gix is the nice guy with good diplomatic skills. Just ask anyone he hasn't sentenced to arcoflagellation, he's a softy.

Hence, a close-range fight between Hethor and Prius would likely be mutual annihilation.

I just find it utterly hilarious that for once Prius is the one skirting the dangerous situation and being cautious, while Hethor is playing with fire. Normally, given the fact that Hethor actually has a sense of self-preservation, it's completely the opposite.

Just because he isn't scared doesn't mean that he shouldn't be. Varian is a very well trained swordsman indeed and his psyker powers only augment that ability. (You know that nifty scene with Sauron smiting up a storm in FotR? That's pretty much hammerhand.)

Well, then they'll no doubt work things out.

Hethor's not playing with fire. He's sure he's safe. He hasn't disobeyed an order and he works for another inquisitor. He's used to being able to be somewhat insolent around authority figures. He just doesn't know how nasty Inquisitional politics can get, so doesn't see that yawning chasm in fron of him.

Ah, well that explains it. And Varian gets that much as well. He's also not about to let anyone short of Lord Inquistor stop him when you get right down to it.

And I'm not a mod either so you know, haven't been for some time. I just edited in the paratheses stuff to clarify a point.
