Slimline DVD burners
I am wondering, does a slimline DVD unit fit most laptops? Is it like a standard? Would it fit a HP omnibook XE 4500? I am not sure what to be looking at here.[/code]

Re: Slimline DVD burners
Most laptops have a specialized, proprietary expansion bay that is used for a CD/DVD-ROM drive, or other removable media drives. Third-party aftermarket vendors do make drives that will fit a particular laptop's particular expansion bay. These are also available through the original hardware vendor. Make sure you pick up a unit that is advertised to specifically fit your machine, or your machine and others in the family. His Divine Shadow wrote:I am wondering, does a slimline DVD unit fit most laptops?
