Screw you guys, I'm buying one for the novelty value. It's not that Star Wars is whoring itself out as much as the fanwhores like myself want to buy anything and everything with the SW label on it.

....when Lucas envisioned the dark lord of the sith, did he REALLY see this coming?

I've heard that his inspiration for the Falcon's design was a hamburger. Mybe he was eating a baked potato when he created Vader. :)

I fail to see what is wrong with this. As a matter of fact, I think I'm gonna pick one up.

I would have had much less of an issue with Jabba the Spud ... I mean he's already potato shaped!

The only SW paraphenalia that deserves a place on my desk is my Darth Vader Star Wars Unleashed figure, which kicks much arse.

Angry Tribble? As opposed to a Calm&Happy Tribble? :P

That can be a metaphor for the whole versus debate: star trek, soft and fluffy, versus star wars, mean and... potatoey. :D

The Tribble I got only makes the mad noise, so I call the Angry Tribble. They sell families of the furry suckers though.

For the most part...it distracts clients as they stare at the thing as I tell them how screwed the pooch they could be if they don't shape up if the IRS catches wind of their stupidity.

I don't think George will have reached the limit of whoring until there is an actual Star Wars themed whore house owned and operated by Lucasfilm in Nevada.

It'll be full of various incarnations of Leia, Amidala, Mon Mothma  , Twi' lek chicks the colors of the rainbow etc...

Things like that have been popular for awhile. They're especially popular in Idaho.

Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."

In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!

I beg to differ. The shape of Darth Vader's helmet resembles nothing of that of a potato. If we examine Vader's overall appearance, even the shape of the helmet alone would strenghten the hypothesis that the author was actually inspired by a certain bodily organ that would be best described as 'Phallus'. It is interesting to note that the shape of the toy suffers from severe distortion, which in my opinion may be contradictory to author's intention when creating the said character. In my opinion, it would be more reasonable for manufacturers to issue a certain kind of Vader-inspired product which would properly function in respect to the character's overall shape and its object of inspiration.
