Clint Eastwood threatens to kill Michael Moore

Clint Eastwood has chillingly warned documentary-maker Michael Moore he'll face certain death if he ever points his camera at him. Picking up a Special Film-making Achievement prize for Million Dollar Baby at the National Board Of Review Awards dinner in New York on Tuesday, Eastwood urged the Fahrenheit 9/11 director to avoid making him the subject of a future project if he values his life. However, Eastwood - a staunch supporter of the Republicans - did admit he and Moore have a shared view of how American society should operate. He said, "Michael Moore and I actually have a lot in common - we both appreciate living in a country where there's free expression. But, Michael, if you ever show up at my front door with a camera - I'll kill you." And when Eastwood noticed the audience had erupted in laughter to his threat, he emphasized, "I mean it." However, Moore's representatives insist the comments were intended as a joke: "Michael laughed along with everyone else, and took Mr Eastwood's comments in the lighthearted spirit in which they were given."

God, I hope it happens.

Eh ... I like Clint's movies, he's a fine actor and director ... but like everybody else in this world, sometimes he's better served by just keeping his yap shut. He makes a joke in somewhat poor taste, and for years afterward it will be taken out of context to show gun owners as nuts who would shoot somebody just for showing up at their front door with that most dangerous of weapons .... a camera.

No, you still need the retrospective on Michael Moore's life & accomplishments, assorted rantings on the evils of America, paranoid delusions on 9/11, and of course, how he still utterly failed to keep Bush from being re-elected and how it was the fault of the gun-toting rednecks. What you meant to say was, Clint solidifies for all eternity his reputation as the biggest bad ass that ever lived, and the opposition in America are ridden of a man who ignores valid arguments already supported by a wealth of evidence in favor of outright fabrications.

Clint isn't a bad ass ... but he's played one on television. That's half the problem in this country, people can't tell the difference.

If Clint was going to go around spouting one of his good movie lines over and over, there's one I wish he'd use at more Republican meetings: "A man's got to know his limitations ....."

Michael Moore isn't known for engaging in well-spoken argumention and logical debate any more than Ann Coulter is.

I don't recall Moore in F9/11 saying things like "If Bush is reelected he should be killed." or "If the Secret Service shows up one more time I'm going to kill them."

And as to the rights extremists views like Coulter as I recall she called for the death of Democrats as Traitors. Can't think of the last left wing book that called for death on right wing folks. Rush Limbaugh is a big fat stupid liar didn't call for death for example but the right sure loved pulling that "Kill em all" bullshit in their rhetoric.
