Swanky. I take it that's Anakin's starfighter in this film?

Re: German ROTS:ICS cover
Why are they lucky, exactly? That fighter looks hideous. I'll take the Jedi Interceptor we see Obi-wan in any day over that piece of shit.
Our one has the Juggernaut on the cover, apparently. Or the "Clone Turbo Tank", in SW retardobabble.Tychu wrote:I fail to see why the Germans are lucky, arent we getting our American hands on the same thing?
It fits. I've seen the actual model (i.e. the one the actors can sit in). Please tell me that's not another fighter in which the R2 unit can't fit.
I like the Eta-2. What Jedi Interceptor we see Obi-Wan in? Obi-Wan flies an Eta-2 in ROTS as well. Why are they lucky, exactly? That fighter looks hideous. I'll take the Jedi Interceptor we see Obi-wan in any day over that piece of shit.

Why do we need shitty GL names for stuff like "Turbo tank"? I hate the chic of adding "hyper," "super," "ultra," "turbo" to anything to make it cooler or more uber.

That's a cool cover of the new fighter.
I actually like it better then the Juggernaut cover.

I was talking about the Aethersprite. Obi-wan was flying it in AOTC. We don't see it in combat, unless you count the Clone Wars cartoons and comics.Vympel wrote:I like the Eta-2. I just don't like this new starfighter. There's something about it which looks... small, and cramped. And R2 still looks like he doesn't fit in it. (same as all prequel fighters, btw)
I think it is a nice brigde from Maul´s Infiltrator in TPM to the TIEs of the classic trilogy.

To me, it will always be Juggernaut. (And yes, Turbo Tank is silly and campy, but you don´t think about that when you´re being crushed by it´s massive wheels )Illuminatus Primus wrote:Why do we need shitty GL names for stuff like "Turbo tank"? Luckily the EU already named it and "Juggernaut" will prove much more popular to fandom. Thank God. Retarded ... "turbo tank".Illuminatus Primus wrote:Why do we need shitty GL names for stuff like "Turbo tank"? Yeah. The Delta-7 is cool too. I want to see what name they thought up for the Eta-2.Stofsk wrote: I was talking about the Aethersprite. Obi-wan was flying it in AOTC. We don't see it in combat, unless you count the Clone Wars cartoons and comics.
It's got more space than the Delta-7 for the pilot, that much is obvious. Nice cockpit section. And TIE-style windows. Gotta love the TIE style windows.I just don't like this new starfighter. There's something about it which looks... small, and cramped.
He does fit, I've seen it, trust me.And R2 still looks like he doesn't fit in it. (same as all prequel fighters, btw)

That would be the Venator-class Star Destroyers.Crazedwraith wrote:Bah! The Juggernaut on the cover is cooler....
And the Eta-2 looks crap, what happened to showing the republic with daggerships?

To be honest, I prefer the Republic's funky Space Tank thingy. The Juggernaut just looks so...meaty. Linky.

Well that's good to know. It doesn't look obvious from the photos I've seen.Vympel wrote:It fits. I've seen the actual model (i.e. the one the actors can sit in). Please tell me that's not another fighter in which the R2 unit can't fit.

FEAR THE TURBO TANK!
As for the fighter, you can get a pretty good idea of just how tiny it is by using either the pilot or the R2 as a benchmark. That thing looks to be smaller than the Delta-7.. or at worst just as large (I think its smaller.)
