Today I Visited the Epicenter of Evil

Post by Wicked Pilot »

as some would have you believe. Yes, today I visited The William J. Clinton Presidential Center, known more popularly as the Clinton Library. First let me answers the obvious questions:

Yes it keeps to the Arkansas style of construction and resembles a trailer home
Yes it is a big 'I love me'
No, the floors, walls, hand railing, etc, are not sticky.

Overall I must say the place is nice. I'm really not to fond of the outside, but on the inside it's beautiful. On the first floor is security, the ticket office, and a presidential limo. On the main level (second story) is a theater, cabinet room, a great hall, and the 16 Policy exhibits. On the upper level (third story) are the Life in the White House and Biography exhibits, and one very sweet reconstruction of the Oval Office. The place is littered with photos, artifacts, and videos on flat plasmas. There are also tons of document boxes with schedules, correspondences, and other such important documents anyone involved with research would love to have a look at. The landscaping around the building and the river is beautiful, and the parking is ample and free. If you're visiting Little Rock this place is definitely worth a look.
The most basic assumption about the world is that it does not contradict itself.

Is the Dress™ on display? :angelic:
"You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours."- General Sir Charles Napier

Mrs. Spade didn't raise any children dippy enough to
make guesses in front of a district attorney,
an assistant district attorney, and a stenographer

But that wouldn't really be the 'epicentre of evil' though would it? It would be more like the epicentre of tragedy.

No, epicentre of evil makes sense, when you consider the hi jackers did something deliberate and planned, not accidental. Causing mass-murder for the purposes of sowing terror is evil, and there's this nice bit of empty cityscape which stands testimony to that message.

I would say the epicentre of disaster or tragedy. 'Epicentre' means the initiation point. I don't think evil intiated from the twin towers, know what I mean?

Blowjobs are evil? Hmmm, I really would have expected something like sending people to die in a war under false pretenses to be evil, or perhaps having your brother help you win a conested election, or maybe having hundreds of people held in a camp somewhere off American soil to help you avoid pesky human rights and Due process questions. But hell, I could be wrong.
Wherever you go, there you are.

Damnit Crown, don't get logical with me! It's 5 in the morning. ;)

Ok you win, I was too tired (and too stupid) to know what epicentre means. :)

So is it true that there is a toothless guy in dirty bib overalls plucking "dueling banjos" on a banjo in the front foyer?
Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."

In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!
