Movies people have recomended that SUCKED!

Post by Anarchist Bunny »

This is a topic the local rock radio station's morning show does everyonce and a while. There are a lot of movies that just plain out suck, but what movies have you seen that someone said was good and that you should see that really did suck.

Here is a short, off the top of my head list:
Gladiator
Eight Legged Freaks
Screw Loose

You think "Gladiator" sucks? Heathen!!!

PS. A lot of critically-acclaimed dramatic films suck. "Driving Miss Daisy" etc. However, I generally have better luck with word-of-mouth recommendations.

Gladiator was good, if a historical shambles... A spaniard as a general in a Roman army? Bwhahahahhahahah!

Eight Legged Freaks. It wasn't meant to be a good movie. It was meant ot be a fun movie. And it was.

Haven't seen Screw Loose.

You want to see a BAD movie? Go to your video store and get "The Talented Mr Ripley". Want to see a REALLY GOOD BAD movie, go and find a copy of "Cannibal, THE MUSICAL!"...

I thought he was a Roman with an estate in the Spanish province with perhaps some Spanish blood in there somewhere. And keep in mind, Trajan was a Spanish general, wasn't he?

Correct me immedately if I'm speaking into my ass, please.

Meet The Feebles. Fuck, did that movie stink. :?

I love Peter Jackson's other work (Bad Taste, Dead Alive), but this movie is absolute garbage.

Sorry, but it was highly overrated and was badly structured for a movie. The intro is 2/3rds of the film.

About an hour and a half I thought "Thank god, it's almost almost over."

I only watched to see if I could recognize which local woods they shot it in (my parents house is a mile from UCF). I think it was shot near an old cattle farm that's now been bought to build 10,000 new houses. It's so hard to tell one tree from another...(and yes, the movie sucked).

I love that film, especially the end where Pacino does everyone over.

Meet the Feebles is a work of genius. Especially the way so many parents get it when they need the TV to baby-sit their kids, thinking that its a movie like the muppets. So many young minds warped.

The scenery was nice, hell it was amazing, but the plot. Uber Frodo fighting the troll? Aragorn fending off the Nazgul with a burning stick? Is that a good movie? Puh-leese. It is an abomination.

You've gotta be kidding me. What better way to attack a dead guy than with a torch to ignite the decomposing flesh? And Frodo fighting the troll was pretty cool.

I'd suggest taking it up with Tolkein, then. :)

The correct usage is "smitten."

By fighting do you mean foolishly jumping on his back after him and the rest of the hobbits ran from him and then the troll getting an arrow to the through by Legolas?

Decomposing flesh? What decomposing flesh? It's not like these bodies were original bodies of the Nazgul.
