Shade Enclave vs. USA

The Shade Enclave, as of the Return Of The Archwizard's trilogy, winds up over America. Willing to take this country as a foothold for returning to Toril proper, the 12 Princes of Shade begin a campaign to conquer America. The Americans begin an all-out conventional campaign on their own soil to stop the attacks.

1) Meterological Combat. The Shadovar have spells and shadow-blankets capable of altering entire climates. The desert states will flood, the plains will suffer horrific storms, and generally life will not be pleasant, greatly affecting morale.

2) Shade's Vunerability. The City Of Shade floats thousands of feet in the air, and only exists in 'reality' during the hours of dusk and dawn, in the gloom. Any attack launched on it must be launched then, when the Shadovar are strongest.

3) Shadovar abilities. Besides every soldier having at least some magic to call upon, Shadovar have several notable abilities. All can decrease the amount of light in an area, and as the area darkens, they become more powerful. In darkness, they regenerate any wound not thermal or acidic in nature. They can teleport themselves over vast distances. They even become more physically sturdy.

The goal, I should note, is not to lay waste. The Shadovar can reshape the climate of America to demoralize the populace, then craft it closer to their needs. They won't, however, destroy all the cropland they would need eventually. I'm also assuming the USA wouldn't fire nukes at a city that only exists for two hours a day.
