As far as I can tell, this guy's using accurate (and not party line) numbers! nifty.

*shrug* Both of those are exceptions rather than rules. Executor lords over the common starcraft.

And what the hell is V'Ger, anyway? That's way the hell too big to the the Voyager probe, obviously. Which is what I've been told it's supposed to be. :P

It is? I thought the thing was supposed to be 100km long or something enormous.

I dunno, something about how some alien race grabbed the Voyager probe and stuck a lot of shit on it to make it dangerous and sent it back was what I heard. 98 km worth is a lot of extra shit stuck on, though. :P

At it´s core is the Voyager probe, the rest was added on by a mysterious machine race... (No, not the Borg :P )

And the two probes are apparently single ships, the Executor is an entire ship-class!

It's Voyager 6, "upgraded" by a civilisation of machines at the other end of a wormhole.

Actually, the drawing only depicts the physical core of V'ger. In the movie, it was surrounded by a "cloud" measuring 82 AU across - they reduced it to 2 AU in the Director's Cut.

You think the probe was all machine-race-built? I thought they gave it the ability to build onto itself, and it simply "grew" to be that big over time on its journey back to Earth. That's what I got out of the dialogue, anyway.

Wow, that was a sane trekkie  . No, I really liked his charts, and it's good that he separates himself from some other elements.

The Pillar of Autumn's size is rather hotly contested. As for what it looks like, here you go.

The whole cloud was supposed to be 1 astronomical unit in diameter if I recall correctly, that might put it a little too big to be put on a diagram - the cloud dissipated when Vger entered the solar system as well IIRC.

EDIT: Or, I could actually read what had gone before. Dumbass.

Which only ever demonstrated possessing a single main weapon that was incredibly unwieldy and required the vessel to be escorted by dozens or hundreds of support ships?

Sigh. I'm going to have to do one of these when I get my site up and running dealing with my Empires universe.
Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."

In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!

If all you want to do is have some harmless, mindless fun, go H3RE INST3ADZ0RZ!!

Yes, well the author of that page left out the two Death Stars. I guess to have those on the chart would make everything else single pixles. :)
