Jefferson, because we are living in Hamilton's world.

I'm studying for the CPA exam. Have a nice summer, and if you're down just sit back and realize that Joe is off somewhere, doing much worse than you are.

Hamilton was a genius, but some of his ideas may not have been the best. He was, after all, rather content with the idea of a Kingdom of America.

Franklin ... I think he'd find out ingratitude to France annoying, never mind the philosophical simplemindedness of the governing elite.
My guess might be excellent or it might be crummy, but
Mrs. Spade didn't raise any children dippy enough to
make guesses in front of a district attorney,
an assistant district attorney, and a stenographer

I doubt that. After all the French Monarchy helped us to get back at Britian, not out of the goodness of their hearts. Franklin knew that, afterall he was a realist.

The Freedom Fries thing was real dumb though.

He spent some very enjoyable years in France, I suspect he would find the jingoist bashing of the home of some of his favorite philosophy on man and government to be an embarassment to the nation.

He had a thing for hairy women?
They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong

But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

France has changed since then, for one thing there's no longer a French King. I think Franklin would be smart enough to realize that 200 odd years does that. No nation is excaltly like it was in the 1700s.

I'm sure he'd feel the same way about us ... I wonder which he'd be offended by more.

True, but we have a strong central government, a strong industrial base, and our foreign policy is largely driven by commerical realism. All Hamiltonian, even if we didn't get the exact government he wanted.

Jefferson would cry, methinks.:|
"The rest of the poem plays upon that pun. On the contrary, says Catullus, although my verses are soft (molliculi ac parum pudici in line 8, reversing the play on words), they can arouse even limp old men. Should Furius and Aurelius have any remaining doubts about Catullus' virility, he offers to fuck them anally and orally to prove otherwise." - Catullus 16, Wikipedia

Jefferson would cry simply because his ideology of the "yeoman farmer" was conclusively destroyed. Of course, that was wrong even when he was writing about it.

And before he wrote about it. Any moment within the timespan of the universe. :)
