Rob Walper...SITHIFIZED!!

Post by Tinkerbell »

:wipes sweat from brow:

Here it is. I opted to not put the horns on it. If you want me to put them on just let me know. Other than that, feedback?

TBH I'm not really happy with it, it needs a lot of tweaking, but I figured I would post it regardless.

3.28.05 Edit:

For my own benifit, the final cut.

Look otherwise great, but his hair look too healthy, the purpose of sith tattoos is the same as Revans mask to hide the fact that they they're disintegrating because of the use of the dark side.

he has no horns so, he's no Zabrak (Mauls tattoos are of Sith origin.)

My game-plan for that is to give him some form of hood. Yes, I know, lazy way out. 8)

Still, the tatoos are excellently drawn... except those on the right eye... and his nose, unless of course Rob was facing just slightly his left side :)

Really? I thought the tattoos were a zabrak thing? Do you have a source?

there's lot of sources like SW.com who them Sith tattoos (and Zabraks do have tattoos they're not extensive as Mauls)

 Wow! *saves* Awesome work XB. I'm really impressed. And by all means, try putting on horns (or the hood as you mentioned)! I think it would be great. And if you're tweaking, by all means keep it updated. I think this is great!

Nice job, Salm. You're right, it does look more realistic. :) *saves* At this rate, I'll need an entire directory to track all the progress. ;)

That is nifty.

So nifty I will even refrain from the usual Robert-pestering that has become my stock-in-trade.

Just to note, I finally incorporated the latest Sithified image into my sig ("Dark Side" link). Thanks XBlackFlash and Salm. For some reason though, I've apparently reached my sig size limit though. :? I'll try messing around with it so as to put in proper credit to you guys. 8)

Edit: It's the damn URL code for links. I guess the code, despite not showing up, counts as sig space. *frowns*

Looking pretty good so far. I think the edge of the hair is what needs the most work, though unpleastant experience tells me that that will take some doing. The hood option is probably best. Would look good, anyway. Other than that, it's a bit bright and flat; just making the layer a little darker and less opaque might help with that without actually having to do any brush work, IIRC. salm's tweak seemed to be around the right overall darkness, but still flat; also good call on pixellation. If you do decide to go ahead and and tweak it 'till it shines, shinyness of the reddish-purple variety would make it look more like Maul's face.

Is it intentionally non-symmetrical? Maul's tattoos were somewhat, but this seems actively so, especially with the little black marks above the eyes.
