Fucked up uni projects

Post by salm »

we had a tutorial in urban planing today and my complete group ( 3 people) thought that our idea would be pretty damn cool. we got smacked down so bad... man this sucks.
do you know this feeling when you´re perfectly sure that you´ve made something completely cool, then go to uni/school just to get told that the whole concept is plain shit?
we´re going to keep on going though no matter what he says. even if that means that we get a bad grade. fuck him!

What was your idea?

the area is next to a river. we want to make several terraces, like stairs only a lot bigger, and put the housen onto these stairs, so that everybody get´s a good view of the river. the streets would be between the houses and the wall of the next "step". the garages are implemented in the wall of the next step.
there´s also a smaller stair thingy on which we dont have enough space to build the ramps to get up with the car. so we simply planned not to have cars there at all but to build a large underground parking space in the lowest step. you can reach it by elevators, which are also implemented in the wall of the next step.

that´s the main concept, more detail would probably be a little too much to describe.

Sounds overly complex and expensive (if very interesting), salm.

I did what I thought was a GREAT assignment on Science and Technological development in the middle ages.

My lecturer failed me for it. Because I didn't use her preferred sources, instead doing my own research, and culling marks for minor punctuation and grammatical errors.

You are supposed to fail an assignment for doing it blatantly wrong. Not for doing it differently.

Sounds like the terraces in South America, except with houses. Shouldn't be too hard to accomplish. What was the assignment?

I know. I'm finishing uni soon. Strange thing was, that for EVERY other assignment this year I had got a credit or distinction. Yet with her she was consistantly borderlining me. Then on my BIG assignment she hits me with the FAILED stick. Bitch.
