Captain tycho: Please update to version 1.99 and resubmit after cleaning the following:
WeatherBug was a vector for drive-by Gator/Claria installations a year or two ago; I'm not sure if it can be trusted to behave itself now. Most of what I've read on it indicates that AWS has given up that practice, but if you don't feel like taking the risk of keeping it around, uninstall it and find an alternative. ForecastFox for Firefox works relatively well.
Nothing too malicious on your system except for system.exe, which is part of a worm. Run a full scan with an up-to-date antivirus program after killing the entry to eliminate any other wormy bits. The remaining entries in the above list are spyware pieces, but relatively benign compared to, say, what jcow79 was fighting.O2 - BHO: (no name) - {A7327C09-B521-4EDB-8509-7D2660C9EC98} - C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Viewpoint Toolbar\ViewBarBHO.dll

Ah, where's Ein when you need him? Anyway, I'll tackle these in order.
Darth Garden Gnome: I don't see anything overtly bad in your log that might be spawning popups, so if it's acting infested, it's probably via a DLL hooked into Explorer. Those are especially hard to remove, and you'll have to hope one of the automated tools will get it.
Darth Mall: You're clean of any obvious signs of spyware, and I see no worm or virus fragments in the log.

It is with a sad feeling of betrayal I must say that one of the forerunners in the fight against scumware has fallen.
Lavasoft makers of Adaware has betrayed the trust in their flaggship application.

The Aliens: There's one file that I can't seem to identify -- C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\TWMCI32Q.exe -- that may or may not be spyware. You can try killing that as well if killing the below (the only piece of overt spyware) doesn't help.

That happened to my mom's Dell shorty after I reformatted it. It's a nasty, hard to kill bitch. I eventually just ended up reformatting again when I realized I couldn't beat it.Vympel wrote:I know it's there, I just don't know what it is- the fucking obnoxious piece of shit put a webpage up over my desktop that I got rid of, but the fucking thing still puts up some sort of hazard sign in my taskbar (the one next to the clock, right hand bottom corner usually) that won't fucking go away and can't be deactivated, having the fucking gall to tell me I don't have any spyware protection, well no shit you fucking thing I just did a reformat and Spybot S&D can't seem to fucking kill you ... Unfortunately, my PC is still infested with crap that just won't go away. Annoying casino popups and shit from IE- even when I'm not using IE (I never use IE- fuck I only used it once and look what happened to me).
Can I post this log and can anyone identify some more malicious shit? I'd hate to have to reformat again over this, but it's really annoying:

It's shit like this that makes me wonder how a moron like Edam de Fromage believes that using Firefox is a greater risk than Internet Explorer...
Good god. How much shit has it been sticking on your computer? I'd say to reboot into Safe Mode and then re-run HJT to get rid of this stuff. Reboot into Safe Mode again and re-run one more time to make sure everything's cleared out.
C:\windows\system32\tcwiyi.exe <-- I don't know what this is. Back it up somewhere and then kill it; if problems appear, replace it.
C:\windows\msmsgnce.exe <-- Trojan/Downloader. Kill immediately.
C:\windows\nvsvwc.exe <-- Same as above. Kill immediately.
D:\spysubtract\SpySub.exe <-- If you didn't put SpySubtract on your system, remove. Otherwise ignore all SpySubtract entries.
C:\WINDOWS\System32\connmie.exe <-- Freshbar spyware
C:\WINDOWS\System32\truettf.exe <-- Freshbar spyware
C:\WINDOWS\System32\dxconf.exe <-- Freshbar spyware
Kill all of the below immediately.

Good god. How much shit has it been sticking on your computer? I'd say to reboot into Safe Mode and then re-run HJT to get rid of this stuff. Reboot into Safe Mode again and re-run one more time to make sure everything's cleared out.

I used AVG virus yesterday (I had it before the format, forgot i needed to reinstall even though I had it on D: rather than C:) and annihilated a lot of that crap- all the Trojans were destroyed. Just so we're clear, everything on that list that you put "below" is stuff that should be eliminated, right?
(I use SpySub, so that's cool).
I mean, from using IE just fucking ONCE. It's unbelievable. Thank god for firefox.

Uh, yeah. Sorry for highlighting SpySubtract, I didn't realize that they had bought CWShredder.

I've had a couple programs start acting strange, and I've already run Spybot, Ad-aware, CWS, and Norton. This is what I got off the log. Anything need to die here:
