Some Trek guy tried saying that 29th century ships could beat anything Star Wars has to offer, does anyone have any information to prove this to be untrue?

They could probably put up a slightly better fight. Keep in mind Star Wars is still 25 millenia ahead of Star Trek. They lose still, and badly.

If you want to use age as the claim for capability then that would mean anyone older then Star Wars should beat them.

Time in space is not a proper way to compare capabilities.

Asimov's Foundationverse is less than 25 thousand years old, is it? And isn't the Culture the same way as well?

If so, then length of existence doesn't equal power.

Well thank you for pointing out the obvious. You going to claim that time matters nothing? It's an important indicator and predictor of abilities, but by no means does it have to confine to that rule always. Everything isn't black and white people.

He's wrong. Their observed capabilities are laughable. The ones that we've seen in action have a disturbing tendency of losing to 24th century Trek ships.

I seriously doubt that 500 years would really make that much of a difference.

Tell that to Colombus from the deck of a nuclear powered aircraft carrier.
Devolution is quite as natural as evolution, and may be just as pleasing, or even a good deal more pleasing, to God. If the average man is made in God's image, then a man such as Beethoven or Aristotle is plainly superior to God, and so God may be jealous of him, and eager to see his superiority perish with his bodily frame.

Vorlons and Shadows?

On topic, we know they can travle time reliably with Time Shuttles, and that if there is a major engine malfunction while trying to time travel the released energy wipes out a solar system. Other then that, not much to go on.

Vorlons and Shadows?
Vorlons and Shadows are much older then SW, but they are outclassed even by the 24th century federation.

Not really. The SF lack of industrial capacity again hurts them when compared with other sci-fi races. I think the Vorlons and Shadows have a chance. Besides, they can PK, even if not a total shattering. That is beyond the observed ST firepower levels. I consider the Vorlons and Shadows to be about comparable with SF, with the result debateable.
