Steam!

Post by Spyder »

"Steam is having trouble connecting to steam servers."

Is anyone else having problems with steam at the moment? I think I've got some corrupt steam files.

Normally I'd be asking this on the steam forums but they don't seem to be working either.

Is there anyway to do a manual backup of the important steam stuff so I can reinstall it?

Yeah like half the network or something is down. Slahdot has something on it. People are pissed as usual, but if you play MMORPGs, your used to it.

They need to make authentication for their offline games permanent. Once they've said "ok, you are who you say you are, here's your executable, have fun."

The friends network almost never works. Maybe one out of every 30 times I attempt a connection I'll get in. It's pathetic.

Steam servers seem to be up and running again.
