illuminati card game

Post by Enforcer Talen »

its a fun one - take control of one of the stereotypical illumintais, greys, swiss gnomes, etc, and try to take over the world.

I highly reccomend it.

I know people who not only play the game but make their own bizarro conspiracy cards. Besides, they couldn't get Mars Society and Marching Band cards any other way.

I've never played it myself, but considering the effort they put into making new cards, I think they enjoy playing it a lot. So consider that half another recommendation.

Oh, you think it's just a game, do you?[/Code Red]

Seriously, I've heard good stuff about it, and Steve Jackson is a good source for quality games. Always wanted to try it, but it was never available in the local stores and I always had stuff I wanted to order more.

At one point The Dude had a bunch of cards and showed me them. They were hillarious. All sorts of wacko conspiracy theory stuff taken to the extreme. I especially enjoyed "Bjarney" (Barney) the Viking Dinosaur, which is used to distract your enemies.

And some of the little jokes like if you put the Hillary and Bill Clinton cards side by side, it showed Hillary holding a leash that was tied round Bills neck. :)

I was playing this game back in college! God I'd love to get my hands on a new set of them! Nit'd enjoy playing, I think.

Check your local gaming store, or order from SJ games directly.

Presuming you are talking about the non-collectible boxed game anywayu are looking for Illuminati, New World Order, you are probably out of luck.

Steve Jackson Games DID make a Factory set of Illuminati which was basically just a box with one of each type of card in it which was ideal for those players who wanted everything.

Some of those might still be available on Steve Jackson Games or Ebay or some games stores.

There was an expansion to the original game but it never seemed to quite take off and I can't remember what it was called.

Illuminati deluxe edition is the baseline noncollectible game. There is an expansion for it called Y2K that should be available.

Illuminati New World Order is the collectible card game. there was a box set, that had all of the original cards. There was an expansion to it, called Assassins, which was solely composed of booster packs, and a non-collectible expansion/training game called Church of the Sub-genius.
