Yeah, great minds think alike. Not that I'm calling everyone stupid. Anyway Zaia, what is your Force Back too the Future? Mine is #2, the future part the best, 1 following, 3 was ok preety good.Zaia wrote:Sweet, those were my three choices too.Captain Lennox wrote:Star Wars, Indiana Jones favorite the Last Crusade, Back too the Future I always watched.

I was deprived of movies as a kid, the parents kept hogging the damn TV and the only things I remember are Mary Poppins, The Sound of Music, and bits and pieces of various Disney movies. My childhood must have sucked since I can't remember much of it.
I'll have to pick a movie out of a hat to answer this question, so ummm...Star Wars it is.

Superman (all of them)
Indy Trilogy
Star Trek (all TOS)
Back to the Future trilogy
I actually didn't see Star Wars until I was in 7th Grade, only read ROTJ comics, and loved it. Saw bit's an pieces of Empire and Jedi, and Bought thr Trilogy on a whim, and loved it. It became on of my #1 films.

Forbidden Planet - Still one of the best sci-fi films ever in my book
Krull - best baddies, the Beast and his Army of Slayers, plus the sequence with the Widow of the Web and that giant Albino spider still makes me shudder.
Excalibur - My favorite version of the Arthurian legend, I still get wood every time I see the actress who played Morganna*reow*
Heavy Metal - the animated one by Ralph Bakashi from the 70's , saw it for the first time when I was about 8 or so , my folks were quite liberal and let me watch all kinds of stuff like that
Fritz the Cat - As I said , VERY liberal

ANH came out when I was ten, when I think of movies I liked as a kid it comes down to what was re-run once a year on television. In that vein, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and Chitty-Chitty Bang-Bang, they pretty much have colored my interests ever since. Minus the Hollywood movie aspect. I was a warped child, I cheered for the kid catcher and baron every time.
Life is all the eternity you get, use it wisely.
Well, we only had the first two Back to the Futures... My brothers and I would put them on in regular rotation during the summer, with the first and third Indiana Jones movies and all three of the original SW movies. (We didn't necessarily sit in front of the TV and watch them--but one of them was always playing in the background while we were playing together) I guess we went through 5 movies a day or so....Captain Lennox wrote:Yeah, great minds think alike. Anyway, if i had to pick my favourite Back to the Future, it would have to be the first one--Christopher Lloyd's faces just crack me up in that one. Followed by number two, and then number three. My favourite SW is DEFINITELY 'Empire Strikes Back,' and I think I like 'The Last Crusade' the my favourite out of the Indiana Jones movies...

Hey that is my exact opinion for the BttF trilogy. The alternate 1985 scenes of BttF 2 I couldn't stand. It embodied all of the aspects I hate in movies. For some reason I hate that anarchy-like environment. That might be why I dislike watching the Robocop movies, Escape from NY/LA, parts of the Terminator movies, parts of the Ghostbuster movies, the Mario Brothers ( ) and all of those other action movies and whatnot that have those sort of scenes. lolYeah, great minds think alike. I really started getting into SW around 5th grade, but prior to that I really loved Apocolypse Now, The Siege of Firebase Gloria, a host of Disney movies, BttF triology, Indiana Jones trilogy, ET, Time Bandits, Delta Force, Memphis Belle, and other miscellaneous movies that I constantly watched. (Thinks back of the good old days.) Ahhh......

Kid?
When was I ever a kid
I do remember one afternoon my Bro and I were supposed to go see a disney flick, and we snuck in and saw "Star Wars" instead.....
I was seven at the time.
Now eternal favorite small screen fare would have to be the local Saturday morning classics theater. A loony toon, a news reel, and a Black & White movie, plus an installment of a couple of old serials.
As a result I had a distinct love for Harold Loyd, Buster Keaton, and Charles Chaplin.

Ahh, my favorite...I would actually have to say Bladerunner. An interesting movie. And, of course the Ninja Turtles movies.

I liked the Ninja Turtles show more than the movies. I never really did like animated things turned into live actors, unless if they did a really good job of staying true to the animations. Some examples of good ones are Superman, Spawn, Spiderman, and Batman. Some examples of bad ones are Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Tombraider, Mario Brothers, Popeye, and so on.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Fucking Turtles the movie was so bad ass. My favorite though was Return of the Jedi. Wrath of Kahn and Transformers would be damn good seconds.

Star Wars(of coarse)
All of Indiana Jones
Ghostbusters ( for the longest time I thought that was a real job and it was what i wanted to be when i grew up)
Dumbo (the only Disney movie I'll actually watch now)
Tron ( I know its technically Disney but it doesnt count cuz their not ripping off someone else's story or raping history)
Goonies "First you gotta do the truffle/shuffle"
The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe (animated version)
Cartoon Parade( only you older cats may have heard of this. it was a collection video of over 2 1/2 hours of cartoons, many of which will never be seen on T.V. again cuz of subject matter like race/national origin, but many of them are still funny as all hell)
P.S. Is Goonies out on DVD?

the two greatest movies i can remember as a child would have to be: The nightmare before christmas and probably edward scossor hands...Those two movies by far are some of the greatest gothic childrens movies ever...Not to mentions the songs and back ground music are just as equally great in my book
if you always do what you always did you'll always get what you always got!!!
