Can anyone best the Amberites at their own game?
Benedict vs _______ at the art of warfare
Gerard vs ________ in hand to hand combat
Bleys/Benedict vs ________ in armed combat
Fiona vs ________ in a magic duel
Flora/Caine vs ________ in the manipulation stakes
Oberon/Dworkin vs ________ in an all out campaign for control of the everything.

I think many Marvel heroes can beat up Gerard in hand to hand combat (think The Thing or The Hulk) and some may well beat up Benny in armed combat (think Superman).
Thing is, they can sidestep the issues with the Pattern. If Hulk were to attack Gerard, he can just shift Shadows. If Hulk doesn't follow, Gerard is safe; if he does, the physics of the other shadows will probably not allow him to retain his strenght, so he can get beaten up.
On an unrelated tangent, what would you think of a Amber-ST-SW crossover fanfic? I think the shadowpaths are a great way to get the two universes in contact, much more so than wormholes...

Benedict vs Team composed of Sethra Lavode, Thrawn, Bean, Morrolan the Black, and Croaker.
Assuming they have even resources, I think Benedict would still win, but it'd be an interesting fight.
