It was brought up. Technobabble is above his intelligence level, so naturally he claimed that the beam wasn't travelling that the speed of light, so it therefore wasn't a laser(which is precisely the same reason why a TL isn't a laser). Shamelessly, too.

If we go by all of your stupid reasoning, the Borg Cutting beam isn't a laser because it can be seen in isn't moving at light speed. So it isn't a laser at all.

if we go be my awesome truthful reasoning, it isn't a laser because the E-D is immune to lasers. So the Borg being a highly advanced race more than likely have some very powerful weapons at thier disposal, and it is probably not a laser at all.

-And the Bridge crew of the E-D says that lasers can't hurt the ship.

So if you use real logic it states that it isn't a laser. Unless the Borg have found a way to alter reality.

You don't even realized you created your own catch 22. If the borg laser can't be a laser because of the known physical properties of lasers then SW TLs can't be lasers either FOR THAT SAME REASON and the whole lasers can't hurt the E-D argument is irrelevant.

If on the other hand, SW weapons must be lasers because of the name, then the borg laser is a laser too and therefore lasers CAN hurt the E-D.

As per canon, the Fed ships are almost immune to lasers, they can't even penetrate the navigational deflectors, so knowing that, the only explaination for the Borg is that it wasn't a laser at all. Now on to SW for thier weapons not to be lasers, they sure do use the term on a wide varitey of different weapons now don't they! And how many times are you losers going to keep forgetting the fact that I have always said that the TL are the evolution to the laser, and that SW.com says that they are light-based weapons and what the h*ll do you think a laser weapon is?

Yep, when the E-D crew says "Lasers can't penetrate nav deflectors" they are totally infalliable but when they say "the cube is cutting us up with a laser" they were completely wrong.
