Q is bored so he manifests some popcorn, snap his fingers, and *POOF* dumps a Star Destroyer in Sol System, right on Earth's doorstep. At the same time the Enterprise-E exits warp.
Now for the twist: Q has reincarnated James T. Kirk, MADE HIM INTO AN IMPERIAL CAPTAIN, and put him onboard the Star Destroyer.
He has also reincarnated Thrawn, MADE HIM INTO A STARFLEET CAPTAIN, and put him onboard the Enterprise-E.
Kirk does...although Thrawn is a way better tactican, he woulödn't be able to study kirk's art that fast...and even if, Thrawn is a strategician, who acts with whole warfleets, and not with a single fed ship... he wouldn't even stand the TIE's from the ISD
I am sorry but one ST ship vs an ISD....ISD wins!!!
Maybe five ST ships with Thrawn and he could win.
5 ST ships? According to every calc I've ever seen on this page it would take more like 5 thousand ST ships. Thrawn isn't good enough to overcome the tech gap nor is he godly enough to make any sort of SW ship out of E-Es.
Kirk wins in this ridiculous, Q-arranged contest and Thrawn's head is mounted and placed in Starfleet HQ.

I mean to use such a tactic would mean Kirk is sitting there letting Thrawn use them.
Kirk's advantage is that much greater than Thrawn's...and the hardest part for Thrawn is to somehow make his inadequate pieces of garbage stay alive long enough given that it's lightest guns can nearly destroy his ships and the heaviest will probably vaporize them and hit the ship behind it.

Thrawn has faced long odds before(8 to 1) and come out alive
But even he can't beat 1000 to 1 Odds

Well I was just trying to point out that maybe with enough ships (granted Star Trek ships are not very good in a fight) Thrawn might win.

You know, it has been said that Fed starships are almost like works of art...
Thrawn tries to go to warp or use phasers and warp core goes critical within 4 seconds.

Thrawn acesses it's situation, makes a pact with Kirk, and both take over the Federation, turning it into the Terran Empire, with Kirk as Emperor... Oh, wait...

Thawn would warp away. He would never stay and fight with such hopeless odds.
Either that or he orders the ISD crew to kill Kirk, then fly's over with a shuttle claiming he's going to negotiated or some other bull the crew will buy without question. He takes the prefix codes for all of star fleet with him. Half way along he uses it to take control of the E-E from his shuttle, and uses it transmitter to take control of the whole of Star Fleet.
The death traps they call ships are then self destructed so no new Imperial citizen ever again must serve on them.

Using that argument, Kirk uses his command codes to freeze the E-E and her shuttle with Thrawn aboard and initiates the self-destruct on both. Thus killing Thrawn without firing a single shot.

There's no way that Thrawn would stand a chance with the E-E. Not even his tactical skills would allow him to evade every single MTL in a ship the size of the E-E, and even a single hit will destroy the Enterprise.
