Link. Apologies for the influx of news related threads, but there was an ubelievably high amount of fucked up content.SALMON, Idaho (Reuters) - An Idaho woman accused of scalping a teen-ager in an act that police say had sexual overtones surrendered to authorities on Wednesday, police said.
Marianne Dahle, 26, is suspected of tying up a 16-year-old girl and cutting off a six-inch by eight-inch portion of her crown and the back of her scalp with a knife, Boise City Police Lt. Eugene Smith said.
She turned herself in at the Ada County jail on a felony arrest warrant for aggravated battery, a crime that carries a maximum penalty of 14 years in prison.
Doctors were unable to reattach the girl's scalp. The victim, identified only as Sheila, has had several skin grafts since the Jan. 18 incident at Kirkham Hot Springs, a recreation area about 70 miles northeast of Boise.
Smith said authorities believe Dahle scalped the teen-ager because she thought the girl was being disrespectful toward women.
The two are members of a punk clique "who hang out together and wear a Mohawk (hairstyle)," he said. "They are organized mainly for social purposes but there are some behavioral rules."
Those rules reportedly include not being offensive to women.
In a statement, Bill Braddock, chief deputy sheriff of Boise County, said: "I view this as a case where an adult female is using predatory control, both psychological and sexual, toward juvenile victims. There are definitely sexual overtones to this crime."
After the scalping, Dahle drove the girl to a hospital in Boise. Police issued an arrest warrant shortly afterward but chose not to publicize the case to protect the victim. That policy was discarded this week in favor of asking the public for help in locating Dahle.

Well, behavioral rules or not, I don't think I'd want to join any group that had a propensity for scalping people. Sounds like this woman needs some alone time, that it realy fucked up. I wonder why the police conclude sexual overtones, only because the explanation in the article didn't give that impression. I just wonder what evidence or testimony led to that particular revelation.
